-=- This is a book I am working on currently, and it is based on a dragon roleplay. Sorry if there are mistakes. The picture on the front is indeed Ebony, a drawing by PinkPrincessLiz if I can get a better drawing of Ebony by her, I will. This will always be updateing so yeah! -=- SPOILER: The main character is Ebony, and she finds out, thanks to Shard that Amelia is on the run again. It is Ebony's job as the executer of Alba, and one of it's last remain royals to defeat Amelia. But, Ebony has a promise to keep. No matter how Ebony acts as personality, she must never fall to evil. Ebony might not keep her promise, after all promises are meant to be broken. Ebony believes Oblivion cannot return but she may be wrong. Amelia attempts to force Ebony to defeat Oblivion and become the new oblivion, breaking the promise and causing chaos.
STORY:

The Storm

It seemed like a dark day for Alba. It
was storming outside, were the dragons mad? Nobody knew if they were
or if some sort of event was going on. The young hatchling poked her
head out of the egg shell and started eating the yolk of it. A few
storm and lightning dragons were gathered up in the sky lands unable
to stop the storm. Another young hatchling scurried out of the
Volcano. The rain slowly flooded the land, the swamp was already
covered in water. The young hatchling who looked like a red and slimy
lizard sat on Ebony's rock. It looked inside of the cave and quickly
scurried inside when the lightning sounded. A mature Ice Dragon
walked out into the rain while freezing the rain into hail before it
fell on her however when the ice landed on her scales it melted and
dripped off. The Ice Dragon made her way over to the swamp and froze
the water, yet it seemed to melt yet again. She went up to see what
was going on in the sky lands, the home of the storm, lightning,
cloud or any other dragon capable to fly and live there. The small
hatchlings poked their heads out to admire the frosty-blue scales of
the Ice Dragon as she flew by. Their mothers quickly pulled them
inside, afraid the rain would drown them. The Ice Dragon thrashed her
tail on an island made out of stone and a storm dragon poked it's
head out and stared at her. The Storm Dragon stared at her for a
while then quickly flew back into the small den. She knew she would
have to try later, returning to the Ice Mountain she sighed and set
her head upon the leaves laid upon the snow-covered ice. The humming
of the small crystal seemed to create a small lullaby. Though it was
louder than the Ice Dragon's heartbeat it seemed so quiet and so
soft. She closed her eyes and drifted into the dream world.

The Dream

Ebony flew off keeping a steady pace
yet slowly gaining speed, before she knew it she was flying just
below her limit. At this rate she would be exhausted and she
attempted to slow down but kept speeding up. Instead she flew as fast
as she could avoiding trees until she was too tired to carry on. She
found a small empty den and sat in it, the cool mist covering her and
entering the skull she wore. The only thing that was visible was her
dark red eyes, the gem, her mouth and possibly her wing membrane. She
closed her eyelids yet the glowing could still be seen. “No
hatchlings, just peace.” She thought and sighed while adjusting her
position to be more relaxed. The mist creeped slowly under her scales
cooling her and the area around her. No thought pestered her mind. A
loud sound was heard and the Ice Dragon woke up. She saw a vision,
not a dream. Recalling the vision by closing her eyes instead the
loud sound was heard again and it showed dead grass. Dead grass...
Why dead grass? Then all of a sudden a tree fell and it was dying,
withering away. Soon another, and another, and another until the
forest fell. She gazed around and saw a dragon. “Amelia!” said a
faint whisper. “Why look so shocked?” said Amelia. “You
traitor!” said another dragon that the Ice Dragon couldn't see.
Everyone seemed to be panicking as things died around Amelia. “Ebony,
don't! Why!” said a Moon dragon. A loud scream of pain filled the
area. “Help me...” cried a weak voice. “I must maintain my
role, I won't I can't...” said the same Moon dragon. The sky
darkened once again. “You will all favor the storm... There is no
doubt you will wish for an eternal storm.” said Amelia in a
withered and half-insane voice. “He won't return.” “Help!”
“Muahaha” “Why!” all muffled together. The Ice Dragon opened
up her eyes and made a loud screech followed by a worried chirp from
a nearby hatchling.

The Gatherings

A gathering was held, the earth related
dragons were on the rocky and lively side with bright flowers and
trees. The fire related dragons were on the magma, obsidian and coal
side with sharp spikes and lava everywhere. The water dragons were
held in a lovely swamp with lovely flowers and a weeping tree. Above
were the dragons who lived in the sky and beside the swamp and magma
was a dark area covered in podzol, withered and dying with a dark
tinge to it. The Ice Dragon shivered at the sight of it. Between the
water and earth there was a bright white area covered in wool and
quartz stone. It had a holy tinge to it and made the Ice Dragon sigh
with relief for some reason. A ravine surrounded the tree where the
Ore, Gem, occasionally Nightlocks who don't like the death area and
Crystal Dragons were. Finally, surrounding all of the other
territories was a bright and rainbow like land with Cotton Candy
trees with sugar logs and a quadruple rainbow to top it off. Most
importantly was the tree, the great and large tree that was in the
middle of it all. It was always sunny where the gatherings were held.
“I am Shard, the Ice Dragon. I have seen a vision in my dream. We
are in great danger, Amelia is coming. She is a dark dragon with the
will and mind to corrupt anything. She can wither this land and the
dragons in it. We must evacuate and warn Ebony.” said Shard. “I
cannot stop this from happening and I'm afraid sacrifices will be
made but we must escape.” she said again. Everyone gasped with
shock. “She is coming...” said a voice. A dark scaled dragon
appeared in front of shard. Her amber eyes stared into the green eyes
of Shard's. “There is no escape...” said the dragon. “She is
coming...” she laughed manically. “It will be fun to watch you
scream...” the dragon. She laughed again “Ooh will it be fun.
Will it be fun to watch you be tortured... You scream, yes?” said
the dragon sounding slightly insane. “I'm here to weaken all of
you. She will torture you as you wither, slowly but surely you will
all die.” the dragon said. Her head fell off onto Shard's claws and
she released a shriek. Behind her was a storm dragon. “Enough of
that.” he said in a strong and loud voice. “Pack up your things,
we are leaving at dusk.” He said and flew off.

The Journey

Shard went into the Ice
Mountain and sighed. “There's nothing here.” she said to herself.

“I don't really have a role, a place
or much of a personality.” she spoke more softly this time.

She closed her eyes and drifted off.
“No! Where are the others? What did she do to them? It's all
destroyed! Where is she?” said a voice. A low pitched voice
laughed. “You really think you could stop them? They fled in fear.”
said Amelia. “There are none... None left now. No possibilities
they are truly dead. Soon to serve under a necromancer.” she
continued. “You think you could ever stop this? You've stopped one
path but ended another with an opportunity. If it wasn't for that
foolish Ice Dragon I suppose this would have never happened. You'd
atleast have a few dragons as allies. As for Oblivion-” she said in
a seductive voice before being interrupted. “He won't come
back...” The voice was clear to tell it's Ebony. “He won't....”
she started laughing. “He can't.” Then Oblivion appeared and
that's where it ended. “I must stay!” said Shard. She told
everyone to stay here, that it would be safe. She flew as fast as she
could following the trail she saw Ebony going in her vision. Ebony
was still resting in the small den. “Ebony...” said Shard.
“What...” she said grimly. “Ebony, Amelia she's coming I
foresaw it.” said shard, gasping for air. “That's impossible...
Then again that traitor is “working” for him.” Ebony replied.
“He's using her... Too bad she doesn't know it.” Ebony finished
off the sentence. Shard looked very confused. “You must come back
to manage Alba.” Shard said trying to convince Ebony to come back.
The beautiful Autumn leaves fell down and into the cave due to the
strong wind. “Fine I suppose. It will have to wait if it's that
important.” Ebony said and sighed. They flew back at a slower pace
and the storm cleared with one last lightning bolt, blood red.

Wind's Guidance

“Ebony!” they all cheered happily.
“You're back! You're back!” they all said. Ebony ignored them and
sat down thinking quietly, away from the world. “Seek out the wind,
Ebony.” said a voice. “Ssssseek out the windssss” it said. With
one beat of her wings she was gone and flew over to the Wind Temple.
“Greetingsss Ebony.” said one of the Wind Dragons. “I wish to
see your elder.” Ebony said impatiently. “Very well, you may
passss” the Wind Dragon replied. Ebony walked in further into the
temple. She saw a very large Wind Dragon, yet smaller than herself
still. “Ahh, Hello Ebony.” he said in a low, calming voice. “You
seek how to blow away the blood storm?” he asked.

“What blood storm?” Ebony asked.
“You, Ebony the Blood Wing will cause a storm of blood. You wish to
stop it as it will disrupt peace throughout the land. As blood will
spill not only from the sky but from the others. You may not
understand now, Ebony but you can cause chaos. You breaking your
promise will end us all. You can cause chaos not in the way you would
think. Blood's rain will follow after a storm of death. Chaos will
spread throughout the land and the peace will be broken. You must
stop this, Ebony as you are the only one who can under the Wind's
Guidance.” he finished, coughing into his white scales. “I know I
can cause chaos.” she said. “Not in the way you think.” he
replied, speaking calmly. “You make no sense. I know all ways of
chaos. I know most many things.” she said. “You can't know
everything. “I can, you
can't” she hissed. “Stop hiding in that skull Ebony seek out the
wind's true guidance.”

Blood's Storm

Ebony flew off as if nothing mattered.
She sat on her rock thinking about what he meant by the Wind's
Guidance. She closed her eyes feeling the wind pass through her
scales. The wind whispered into her ear “Clear the darkness from
your mind. Let the wind guide you.” it started to sound like a song
as it repeted. “Clear the darkness from your mind. Let the wind
guide you.” it sang again. “Clear the darkness from your soul.
Let the wind guide you.” it seemed to change a bit. “Blood is not
the answer. Let the wind guide you.” it changed again. “You are
the key that unlocks it all...” it stopped there. A slight headache
formed in Ebony's head. “Is this what it feels like to be cleared
from darkness?” she said out loud. “I don't like it.” she
sighed. She stared up into the sky as the clouds darkened. The song
rang throughout her mind. She closed her eyes once more and pictured
the Autumn woods. The beautiful red, orange and yellow leaves falling
all around. Despite Ebony's nature, this was one thing she would and
could call beautiful. The soft humming of the crystals filled her
mind from when she entered the elemental dragon homes, and the rough
but soothing hum from the crystal in the “Crystal Water” as it
had been given the name of. When she first entered the beautiful
forest she heard faint humming, just like the ones from the mountains
or caves. “Crystalsong Woods” was the name she thought of, and
what a lovely name for a lovely place it was. The clouds lightened
again and thunder was heard, this time normal and white. She thought
of the dark red clouds with blood red creaks and the red lightning
and fire. Then the tears of the sky which were panicked with blood.
Not to mention the chaos that would have happened. “Maybe if I
learn how to summon the Blood's Storm or at least the lightning which
seems to strike white fire that burns the hottest, I could easily
fight Oblivion next time that fool decides to attack me.” she said
to herself, smirking through the skull.

Ancient History

Ebony knew that Blood Wings could
harvest power, energy and abilities through the casting of one. If a
mage summoned snow, Ebony could absorb the power, energy and magic in
the air or snow and summon it. “Perhaps the library could have some
information on 'Blood's Rain' or ancient Blood Wing history however
Yuvon's ruins may still have it.” she paused before she continued
speaking. “That's it! Yuvon's library is still partially intact and
as a hatchling I remember blood raining down from the skies once.”
she said. She beat her wings once and was already gone, she flew just
under the clouds occasionally flying into them allowing the cool mist
to sink into her scales. It would take her many moons and many suns
to get to Yuvon at the rate she was flying. She landed to take a
small break. “How many moons would it take. I believe around six
and seven suns.” she said. “No, longer ten, sixteen, thirty-two
no, thirty six moons and thirty seven suns.” she sighed. Ebony
glared up into one of the suns. “It's around noon I'd say perhaps I
can speed up.” she paused thinking of another way. “The shortcut
through the withering woods...” she sighed. “Alright let's do
this” she though. She flew as fast as she could, north west until
she came to a dying forest. She flew far enough over it that she
would not become lost and turn insane like the others. Small specks
of Fool's Gold lead the pathway to Yuvon. She landed on a cloud to
take rest for the night. “Three more moons” the wind whispered
into her ear.

Ambushed!

Ebony woke up and flew just over the
clouds, before she knew it she fell on top of one and had a dragon on
her chest. “Get off!” she grunted and breathed a burning hot fire
into the dragon's face. The dragon's skeleton fell through the clouds
and landed on a tree. As she got up another dragon was on her back,
dark spikes extended from her back impaling the dragon killing it.
They retracted and the dead dragon fell. Shadow vines grew on the
clouds surrounding Ebony, protecting her. They faded and she flew off
extremely quick. “Won't let that happen again.” she sighed. Her
eyes started glowing red, the gem started glowing too and so did her
wing membrane, to clear the fog. “Two and a half more moons.” she
said. “It's impossible to see the sun or moon from here.” she
said and flew above the fog. The Fool's Gold reflected the moon's
light allowing Ebony to see it from the fog and clouds. It would be a
long journey until she got there. She would have to fly above the
clouds and below the moon's light at the same time. If she were to
fall, she would become lost in the forest and turn insane, despite
how insane she is now. “Alright, let's try this instead.” she
thought. She landed on the cloud and flapped her wings. A red light
shot from them pointing directly to Yuvon. She flew extremely fast
while flying through the red light and would reach there by dawn. The
still living things around her seemed to be giving her energy as she
flew by. The suns started rising, she could see Yuvon and the small
traces of gold still left in the ruins. All of a sudden dark green,
withering vines grabbed her and brought her down onto the clouds. A
dark-scaled dragon with withering green eyes, just like the vines
appeared. “She knew you'd be in the forest, but for an unknown
reason. We'll absorb those secrets out from you.” said the dragon.
Ebony didn't speak a word, the sun near Yuvon turned black and red
light came from it, burning the vines and the dragon. It turned back
to the normal orange-like yellow. She flew to Yuvon and searched for
the still intact library. Finally she found it, she searched for a
book that would tell her until she saw something. Ebony's iris became
a slit as she stared at the book.

You shouldn't center the text in stories it makes it really hard to read!

Sorry, but I do that because you wouldn't be able to read the titles. Plus, it's how I do it.

You should be able to just center the title if that is what you mean by not being able to read the title. If you can't do that you could always just bold them to make them stick out more.

I highly recommend  left focusing the text and just typing normally, that is the way almost all stories are written (and for a good reason). It will not take up as much space and be much much easier for people to read.

Sorry sir if the way I write my book disturbs you. I write this on Open Office and paste it. Everyone is different, and we don't all have to follow something. I am quite busy and don't have the time to do specifics it is the way it is because I don't have time. Perhaps it's the amount of writing that glitches the space, and if people cannot read it they can post it into their own form of Open Office and make it go to the left there. When I have more time I'll fix it, thank you and good bye.

All you have to do is click the left align button though after pasting it. You don't have to follow that if you don't want to but it is pretty standard.

Ahh, but you never do finish your story. There is always more to be written. I want to work on a new story while I wait for ideas, when writing two, one produces ideas for the other.
