Hello all, my name is ChucklesTHC, other wise known as Chuckles The Home Chicken, and you're reading my blog, The Life and Times of Chuckles. Pretty original name, amirite? You're also reading a review of a PVP server, known as Slashcraft.
According to the Planet Minecraft post, SlashCraftPVP is a PVP server that features shops, factions, and McMMO. A link to those plugins are below, as well as the Planet Minecraft post.
Before i actually join the server, i'm going to point out something i noticed. At the bottom of the PMC page for this server, it lists "Perks". One of which, Perk 4, has "Become a moderator" in the features. This makes me think that the server owner doesn't understand what a moderator is, and is simply allowing anyone to be a moderator. At the same time, I could just be reading it wrong, and it is the highest perk listed. But that's defintely something i'm going to be paying attention too.
Anyways, time to jump in to the server.
One thing i noticed immediatly, was the LAG. MAN, was that server laggy! It cleared up fairly quickly, but there was still quite a bit. Next thing i noticed, you start with a lot of stuff. I was hoping for more survival, not just for everything to be handed to you.
Once i was equipped, i began wandering around spawn. And there was one thing that REALLY annoyed me. This server was handing you everything. Maybe i just like a challenge, but that was frustrating.
Exploring the potion shop, i was met with a surprise. Up until now the community was very nice, but this made me wonder.
Good to know thats how trusted act. However, it turns out that it wasn't the community as a whole. The members replied to the trusted very maturely, which was definitely a plus.
Once i left spawn, i was met with an enormous amount of spawn campers. It was bad. I eventually gave up on trying to leave. The server didn't seem fun to me. Especially since the owner put a sign by the warzone entrance saying "If people are spawn camping, go the other way." Nice job being a lazy server owner.
Therefore, i give this server a 7/10. In other words, okay. The server hands you things, but at the same time makes it impossible to expand on them, since you cannot even leave the god damn spawn. Although most of the community is good, the people with power are the bad ones. Besides the spawn campers, of course.
