Sitting on this torn up couch,
the book of religion fades in the corner.
Grease and beer stains spot the carpet,
a bucket of piss sitting beside my legs.
Broken windows, the loan forever,
raising higher and higher.
Lights flickering, the switch, broken,
forever flickering on my miserable self.
My flip-phone in my hand,
as the messages pile up on this screen.
While watching This television,
the cable always burnt out.
Time passing so fast,
opportunities crumpling to the floor.
My life slowly rotting,
in this cheap, dissolving hotel room.
But yet the empty pizza boxes-
stack up on the table in front.
Fatter and fatter with no use-
of my life but to laze around.
the book of religion fades in the corner.
Grease and beer stains spot the carpet,
a bucket of piss sitting beside my legs.
Broken windows, the loan forever,
raising higher and higher.
Lights flickering, the switch, broken,
forever flickering on my miserable self.
My flip-phone in my hand,
as the messages pile up on this screen.
While watching This television,
the cable always burnt out.
Time passing so fast,
opportunities crumpling to the floor.
My life slowly rotting,
in this cheap, dissolving hotel room.
But yet the empty pizza boxes-
stack up on the table in front.
Fatter and fatter with no use-
of my life but to laze around.
