You know you need a break from skinning when the only thing you can think about is Poems and Slugs . . .

Last month I had my birthday,
I got a big surprise,
I opened up my present,
And couldn't believe my eyes!

Inside the box was slugs!
Yes that is what I said,
"What do I do?" I asked my mother,
She picked up the card and read:

"Boil for 20 minutes,
Butter and let cool,
Mix with pepper or paprika,
Eat with any tool!"

We followed the instructions,
Oh tasty, what a treat,
From that day forth at supper time,
Slugs are all we eat!

Um, I don't know why but this poems kept coming to me . . . so yeah . . .

Oh, while we are on the subject of disgusting meals I may as well give you this poems as well:

Today I made our supper,
It didn't work out great,
It probably would've been better,
To use it as fish bate.

The soup was overcooked,
The meat was cold and raw,
The potatoes were as hard as stone,
To cut we used a saw.

In attempt to cook our supper,
I ruined all the food,
I'd better stick to poetry,
At cooking I'm not good.
