Hey guys, I made this video as a speed art, showing as I make a picture of a confetti ninja. Some of you may know that I am nicknamed confetti, so that is where I got the idea. In part 1, this blog will have the first part of drawing it, making the body and basis for the pic, than adding colours. I then add a little of shading, but I still have a long way to go to finish the pic. I made this picture using GIMP, a photo-editing program for mac (Apple Mac Pro OSX 10.7.2). The time taken to get as far as I have was 30 minutes. Please expect more than 2 or 3 hours of footage, making this pic to be released.
The image is how far I got at the end of the video. The picture will not change untill next part is released.
If you want to make a speed art/ art of your own, you can use one of the following programs;
GIMP (What I use, but not suggested.)
Adobe Photoshop (Suggested but you need to buy or use trial)
Paint.net
Paint (Windows only)
Much more.
Want to make this an animation? Use adobe Photoshop to make animations, flipping through each frame like a maniac.
How does animation work?
When you put an image with another set of images, then flip through them fast, it creates an optical illusion, which diverts your eyes, to see an image moving. All the images need to be different for this to work though, unless your character is doing nothing. :P
There will be more speed arts coming soon, so keep watching out! :D

btw are you still planing on doing that orion rise video?
A computer mouse isn't the most accurate. :P Good job though.
Tablets give you more control and the sketch ends up smoother and more natural.
If you're updated to GIMP 2.8, use the smoothing feature. It get's rid of those jagged edges for larger drawings. :)
