Hi guys! Char here! I've been staff on a lot of servers and the biggest thing I learned was that staff is a responsibility, not a reward. You have to take care of the server, help anyone who needs it, and lots of other stuff.

But how do you know if your taking it responsibly? Ask yourself these questions (BE HONEST TO YOURSELF!):

Why am I staff?

Do I help anyone who needs it?

Have the owners brought up me doing a bad job?

Why do I like being staff?

If your answer to #1 was: "Because I like to help the community and solve problems" you are on the right track. If it was something like "I like to fly" you should work on your staffing.

If your answer to #2 was yes, you are on the right track. If not, you should step it up a notch.

If your answer to #3 was yes, you should do more for the server. If the answer was no, hopefully the owner doesn't think that, and you should be on the right track.

If your answer to #4 was: "Because I have god mode" or something like that, you think it is a reward. If it is: "Because I love to make the server better" or something like that, you should be good.

If you don't happen to be staff anywhere, this mind set could actually make you get it. Taking an application or the server seriously and not asking for staff could really skyrocket you into the world of staffing.

Char out!
