It was unexpected. All of it.I ran towards the iron door as fast as I could. The trooper armor slowed me down. I quickly reloaded my gun and fired at the enemy soldiers. They sure did put up quite a fight. While rapidly spitting bullets at the enemy forces, a grenade was thrown towards my friend's side. He was not quick enough to respond.

"Qonar!", I shouted with sorrow but with a hint of anger.

My best friend had just died and I sat there behind a barricade watching his lifeless body kiss the floor. I looked back towards the enemy forces and chucked my own grenade. I jumped over the barricade and ran towards the enemy forces with tears while returning the bullets they had fired at me. It was a stupid decision. I got shot but it didn't kill me. All I remembered was seeing a bright red light hovering over me then that red light fell right by my side.

"Is everything fine, doc?", an unfamiliar voice said, "Anything serious?"

"No. He will be okay.", a Zabrak medic replied, "He will have to stay out of action for a while."

I slowly opened my heavy eyes and to my surprise, out of all the people, Major Ixa was there.

"S-S-Sir.", I said while stammering, "W-Where is Qonar?"

The major looked down and a tear dropped down from his eye, "Vyndicen... My son is dead. Qonar is dead. His body was never retrieved."

I felt my already aching chest drop. It was unbearable to hear. I couldn't remember anything about him dying. My friend, Qonar, how could it be! I was utterly broken. I had planned on taking him to a club that had recently opened on Nar Shadaa. All of those dreams were as broken as my body. I felt hopeless.

"So sir... when is our next operation?", I asked slowly.

"Soon enough after being dispatched from the hospital. You are to join Havoc Squad.", the major said while wiping a tear off of his face, " You will now be reporting to Commander Navae. She is a brute when it comes to disobedience. So just watch out."

The major smiled, "Well I'm now going to go attend to my company. Qonar's memorial will be help once you are fine and out of hoospital."

The major was gone. I was now tired. It was raining outside but there was some music being played from the juke box nearby. I fell asleep while thinking of everything that the major had told me. It was all too much to take in.
