Hello everyone, it's nice to see you again!

This is a inspiring, ranting, blog that sounds like I'm rallying up a group of people to form a angry mob. Yeah, and I apologize for that. hehe. But this blog is my opinion on stolen skins, when people get like this... you have to look at the psychology... as crazy as that sounds. Why. do. they. do. it?

After my look at the stolen skins of my own, I've noticed they all sound exactly the same...

"Well everyone else does it, so lay off"

They get defensive, they make up excuses, they lie, and most importantly they say THAT.

always. all-the-time.

Is the reason, really that simple?

Main Question, Can we stop stolen skins?

No, we can't. Or atleast, not completely.

I do though believe we can greatly decrease it! This long line of stolen skins comes from a long, long time ago, similar to those black and neon teen boys we see all the time. Art theft is EVERYWHERE. So why does it seems so bad here? Not... sure. I think though, that with enough pushing and pressure on this very,very problematic topic, we can find a way to fix it!

We need something like those teen skin jokes.. accept BIGGER. Something that targets everything, not just one opinion.

So no we may not be able to solve everything. But.... nothing's impossible right? Maybe one day, if we just keep pushing and pushing how important it is to not steal, keep our eyes on the skin reel, and stay strict about this no matter what, maybe.. we will eventually.

Why Stealing Is So Wrong

This is for people who steal skins, if you for some odd reason believe what your doing isn't wrong, guess again.

Rather you directly take the skin, or used it as a obvious base, it's still wrong and equally as bad.

DIRECTLY stealing, is actually just plain illegal and can get you in real life trouble.
plagiarism I believe is what that is called.

If your going to steal.... at least give a decent amount of credit to the original creator, especially if you used it as a base even ok? Just... simple, and easy to get out of trouble with. SIMPLE.

Nothing you say, no excuse you make, or insult you yell, will change the fact that what you did was wrong and against the rules.

And will you mind if I say this again? I DON'T CARE IF EVERYONE ELSE DOES IT.

How To Handle Stolen Skins
----------------------

I myself have made many mistakes in the past, not taking stolen skins more seriously. I now have a seriously nutty enemy that bothers me from time to time, and a strange title.. "The Skin Justice Ninja" or something like that.

To anyone who reads this that I handled in a weird way that stole parts of my skins, I will no longer be cheerful and silly about my stolen skins, this. just got serious.

I used to not report them, just mess with them and try to get them to admit they stole it, (they never do) and now I know that they never ever will. They are stubborn, and it will only lead to arguments.

This is the simple way to deal with stolen skins-

Sadly you have to give them a view to do it haha.

Click the skin, and where you usually favorite something, click the flag icon and a page will show the "flag/report" table.

I want to stress how important it is to report anything you can prove is stolen, help support the cause kinda? haha ^-^

How I Tell A Skin Is Stolen

For my personal skins only, (this might not work on other skins) I put many trademarks on my skins secretly, things that won't be covered up if recolor or edit it, such as the top of my lil' hoodie skins have a strange mark on the top of the hair's texture. This is covered up by the hat, and is important because many of my hairs are copied. I can also easily spot my own strange art style, with a special pixel program, but that's a secret. haha, I take my stolen skins very seriously.

Anyways, to easily tell any skin is stolen, it's important to notice large differences in art style, such as lack of shading or odd/off shading styles.

Commonly stolen pieces such as famous things, or repeated templates. Like the templates found on skinning sites, or the steve skin.
