Hello fellow minecraftians and uhh..... doesn't matter. Today, I am showing you my first story that is going to be public. I will start releasing short stories and each time, it will probably be bigger. If you could rate it out of 10 that would be splendid. The Adventure of the Clockwork Gemini





o o I'm investigating things that begin with the letter M.o


- The Mad Hatter.





Written in 1892




Tom H. Bleke was the chief steam engineer who worked on the S.Z o Steam Zeppelino Clockwork Gemini, a cargo and passenger airship. Clockwork Gemini usually travels between Britain and Paris, but this time, a special passenger wants to go to New York, the city of electricity.




July 12 1872 3:54 Pm




I watched as officers and middies guarded the special passenger, protecting him from the crowd gathering around him. Middies and officers ran past me as reinforcements to the makeshift guards, I tapped one on the shoulder and asked, o o Who's the special passenger?o The officer replied o o Apparently he's some boffin from New York, whose inventions are very popular.o o Thomas Edison?o I asked.o o No, dono t think so, otherwise he probably would've gotten a more discreet ride, anyway i'm not supposed to be dawdli-o He was interrupted by a high ranking officer yelling as he ran past o o Stop dawdling! They need help down there now because one of the officers has been crushed by the crowd!o Quickly, the poor officer who was probably going to be demoted ran towards the crowd and assisted the makeshift guards.





July 12 1872 5:43 Pm


o o Steam at full pressure,o I reported through the brass pipe to the captain, o o Helium is full..... Ready for lift off sir,o The captain replied, o o Start slowly, and remind the recruits not to use too much steam, remember last time?o , o o Yes siro I replied, o I'm sure they wont do it again.o o They better not, otherwise their position is at stake,o he said as he closed the connection.


I glanced at the recruits chatting while checking the gauges, I will make sure they won't I thought as I heated up the engines and filled the balloons with helium.




July 13 1872 2:14 Am


I stayed up all night checking the gauges and making sure the engines were running smoothly. While I was checking the gauge for steam, I heard footsteps heading towards the engine room. I stepped behind the boiler to hide when I heard the click of a gun as it was being readied.


I peaked around the corner to see a person walking into the room pointing his revolver around, he wore a dark peacoat with an aircraft man badge. o o He mustn't be hereo he murmured as he looked around the room. I heard his footsteps move towards the levers controlling the steam engine and then the sound of steam hissing out of the pipes, then he stumbled into sight as the heat from the steam came out and scalded his face. I jumped around the corner and leaped on him to stop him tampering with the controls. As I wrestled with him, I heard an officer urgently asking me through the brass tube, o o Whats going on?o . I yelled into the brass tube, o o Im being attacke-o Then I dono t remember what happened next..............




I slowly become conscious, my head is throbbing and my arms aching. I open my eyes for a second and notice someone standing above me then nothing, as I fall unconscious once more.




July 13 1872 8:09 Am


As I woke up slowly, I noticed that my head and arms didno t hurt as much. For a couple of seconds I listened, I could hear people close to me moaning and talking. I could also make out the roar of flames and hiss of steam in the background as water was thrown to put them out. I opened my eyes to see the recruits sitting next to me with cloth bandaged around their arms, hands and heads. I moaned, then closed my tired eyes for a while, trying to remember what happened. I sat up, quickly remembering that I was knocked out by my mysterious assailant. I looked around, trying to take in what was going on, I noticed I was in a medical tent but I couldn't see what was going on outside because there were too many people blocking the way. One of the recruits said quietly, trying not to disturb anyone else, o o Keep resting Mr Bleke, you have been badly injured. The captain needs you as soon as you have recovered.o o o o What happened?o I asked o The officer that heard you fighting through the brass pipe alerted the captain, he sent a search party to the engine to help you. The assailant who attacked you must have messed up the controls because when we found you, the zeppelin was on a crash course for the ground. We got you out before it crashed and now, here you are.o




July 13 1872 11:21 Am


I looked at the broken engine, wondering how to repair it without many supplies while in the middle of the North Atlantic Ocean. Apparently, all our wireless communication devices were broken and the flares were missing, and we were on an undiscovered island about 48.136767,-21.445312. I turned around as I heard someone walk in and was surprised that it wasn't the captain. The man wore a dirty grey suit with a bowler hat and had a light grey beard. He said to me in a french accent, o o Sir, I think I have something that may help you repair the engine.o o Who are you?o I replied o o I am Jules Verne.o






July 14 1872 13 12:53 Pm


I was surprised that Jules Verne was with us on the journey to New York. He told me why he was coming but it is too lengthy to write about on my old type writer, so, i'll spare you the quite dreadfully plain and page long explanation. Surprising, I know. o Verne took me aside and quietly said, o I'm afraid sir this conversation will have to be secret, you cant tell anybody that I am onboard. We don't want people to question why I am going to New York so lets end this conversation and get down to business shall we?o






July 15 1872 6:05 Am


Apparently, some of the hunters and scouts have reported back that there are unusual amounts of flora and fauna activity on the island. They have sent some of the scouts to go atop a mountain to see what is around. The scouts who are good friends of mine are called Pencroff and Harbert. Pencroff is an experienced air man and Harbert is a young middie who is also studying plants. I told this to Verne and he thought it was interesting, though I don't know why.




July 16 1872 8:23 Am


The scouts are back from their mission and have told me that the island is the shape of a serpent. I thought this was interesting and told this to Verne, suggesting that he could put the island in one of his next books. He didno t respond. I also overheard that there was a crack in the ground some miles off and that there was a cylinder in it, though that's all I heard.




July 24 1872 4:04 Pm


o o We have lost 3 people to sickness, the doctors didn't have the right medicine to save them, we will mourn our losses when we get to New York because it will not help us get to civilisationo the captain reported to the crowd, o o But, we have nearly enough materials to fix the engines and very soon we will be on our way to New York, approximately by the 29th this month.o Everyone cheered, with new found hope in their hearts and working tirelessly to get materials back to the airship, they will probably get to New York before the 29th.




July 27 8:23 Pm


Everyone looked up as a shadow passed over the Clockwork Gemini. The shadow lowered down next to the airship revealing itself as the Dark Steam, an airship infamously known for taking loot from airships and then destroying them, leaving very few survivors. I watched with despair growing in my chest. All the passengers that knew about Dark Steam started to panic. I saw the captain talk silently to a messenger, I overheard the words,o o Go.....help......hide.....go now,o I wondered who he needed to help. I noticed that a wooden plank from the airship was being pushed over toward us by a clockwork machine taken from one of their victims. I ran to the engine and hid, making a gun using pieces not essential in the engine to use against the pirates.




July 27 10:13 Pm


I finished making the gun. I wondered what was happening outside, though I did hear an announcement made by the captain saying, o o We give up peacefully, just dono t hurt anyone.o So, I do know the airship pirates are on the ship. I also heard gun fire before, and, I imagine that it was the passengers who where shot. I snuck through secret passages under the deck, hearing the pirates talk and threaten each other over the treasure they had found. I was not going to give up on the Clockwork Gemini. I saw who I think was the boffin going to New York, I had to save him first so he could help me save everyone else. I then realised that he was knocking on the deck in morse code. He must've heard me down here, so I put together what the message was saying. It said, o o Use the door way closest to me and announce yourself then shoot my bindings with your gun.o I though that was a good plan but... what does he have to defeat them all?




July 27 10:18 Pm


I crouched hidden, next to the door, waiting for the right moment.


I peeked around the corner seeing that most of the pirates and the captain had their backs to me and their guns in their holsters.


I leaped out of the door pointing my guns at them. Announcing o o I am here to save everyone.o I know that sounded like it was from a poorly made novel but it was the only thing I could think of. Everyone looked at me. The passengers had doubtful faces, while the officers and middies wondered how I didno t get captured by the pirates. o o You and what army?o one of the pirates sneered. I answered, o o This army.o


and I shot the knot that was tied around the boffin's arms while half a dozen gunman ran out of the doorways, pointing their guns at the pirates. o o Now leave peacefully,o I said loudly to the pirates. o o We still outnumber you,o replied one of the pirates. The boffin pointed his strange gun at the pirates and one of the pirates aimed his revolver at the boffin. The pirate's hair stood on end, a strange lightening surrounded him and then he fell on the ground. The boffin had shot his strange gun at the pirate and saido o Yes you do, but we outsmarted you, now leave peacefully or we will be forced to shoot


you,o They glowered at us, then I pointed my gun at the airship then at them. They left, throwing their guns on the ground. When I made sure that their airship was out of sight, I untied all the knots around everyones arms. o o Who are you?o I asked the boffin. He answered o o I am Nikola Tesla.o He told me that he went to london to work something out for a project and is going back to his home in New York. We were


all safe and we could finally continue our journey.






July 29 4P Pm


We are finally in New York, the city of electricity. There where no more incidents on the way. I have had plenty of rest, and the ceremonies for those who died on the way are being arranged for three days from now. The journey has finished and the captain will let everyone rest for a couple of days after the ceremonies.
