Hey, this is WeeGeeFTWs here and I recently started making a Minecraft custom map, and by recently, I mean yesterday :P

Anyway, there isn't a lot done yet, obviously but, I will be uploading, if not daily, weekly blogs just so people can keep track of it, it also allows me to add ideas to the map that other people suggest too.

Now basically it will be a Adventure/RPGish map with elements of puzzles (but not a lot), It will hopefully be big, actually, yes, it will be big. I am going to build cities/kingdoms and structures first, then develop the plot line around them, just because it is easier (I will be thinking of the plotline while building them though so no worries), I will also be trying to develop some lore for certain places and people (assuming I'll be able to add NPC's) which will hopefully add to the atmosphere of the map. If you have ever wrote lore etc. before don't hesitate to help me out ^-^ I've never done it myself.

Being RPGish map the player will choose a class and visit places multiple times (at most 3 times, unless they choose otherwise) and will be left to survive, have choices of going to places or not, and what they do there, also whether they go back to unlock secrets. I only have 3 classes so far, 1 being Protector, Starts off with Iron Armour, and Iron sword with 2 cooked steaks. Bow Master, starts off with bow, 2 64 stacks of arrows and 3 apples. And finally Barbarian, starts off with Diamond sword, Leather Greaves (only) and 4 bread.
If you have any suggestions, please, let me know :)

So after that I think you deserve to see what I got so far so, here is a screenshot of a Desert 'Shrine' I geuss, this will probably be one of the places the player will see and maybe go to but won't be able to do anything with until they advance in the plot and aquire a 'key'.

Here I made a pillar using sand, sandstone and glowstone, also sandstone half blocks. Then I cloned it using MCEdit, and then went and mad the roof with the towers at the end, I also used MCEdit while making the 'houses' in the middle. I went with using sand, sandstone, glowstone and smooth half steps, just because I wanted it to have a 'Deserty' feel :P
I really like it so far and will definitly have to come back and add some redstone contraption for the underground secrets (Spoilers!) xD

Anyway that's all from me today, leave any suggestions you have and I will take them on board and maybe tell me where to build next, Forest? Mushroom Biome? Winter Wonderland? :D And what do you think of the name Bastleus as the World name? Also maybe suggest a name for this 'Shrine' :P
