The point of this blog is to talk about the CREATIVE ERA of minecraft which was a time that started around 1.4 and dwindled at 1.7
Here is what I gathered before we start
There were 3 main eras of minecraft
Alpha/Beta Minecraft up till release 1.3 was - Survival Era
1.4 to 1.7 - Creative Era
1.8 to Current - Pvp/Server Era
No Hate on anything I have talked about and you a free to believe what you believe :)
Let's Start
==What is it?==
The creative era of minecraft was a time where veterans created amazing
things and worked with what they had at the time.
During this time many groups/people used to create maps for players to play with their friends. Now a days people play on an online server.
==Maps==
One of the largest drives of the creative era was maps.
Maps back then, people had to use with what they got.
People like
Hypixel
Sethbling
Disco_
Bigre
Created stellar maps that still hold up today compared to the quality of other maps.
Take Hypixels Herobrines Mansion
Back then redstone was limited and The Hypixel Team had to use with what they got.
In the end they created this amazing map that no adventure map has yet to beat. This one singular map sparked the idea of adventure maps and many people started creating more and more. This caused friends to play these together and have a great time.
Now I know this sounds really cliché, but the fact that you can play these maps with your friends and have a great time without the toxicity that occurs in minecraft today, is what driven people to create and create.
Another type of map that sparked many other amazing maps to be created was Bigre's The Dropper/The Dropper 2 Newton Vs. Darwin
This Map had many amazing quality's as it was different and new.
It was fun for friends to play competitively without the need of Pvp.
I could go On and On AND ON
About many maps that allowed friends to play minecraft together.
Such as
- Survival Games
- Adventure Maps
- The Dropper Maps
- Survival Maps
- Challenge Maps
- Minigame Maps
Now I don't mind today's maps that we have
There are many amazing maps still being created today Such as
TeraSwoop Force
Asleep
Witch Hunter
Herobrines Downfall
Divercity
Variety
Dissent
Tallcraft Dropper
And More
And with that I am going to leave you the Most Popular Maps on PMC.

Yeah most of them were made back in the creative era and fit the description of playing together with friends

==Community==
I don't have much to day about the community as I was not playing minecraft during the creative era. However, from what I can tell the community was far less Toxic than it is today.
Here is an example of what you can find today

Ok then I die because I got knocked off
Nothing wrong with that right??
Then this happens
Yup
Today many people in servers are a bit toxic and this is not event he best example of how far this can go. This is just the tip of the ice berg.
Back then the community was still rather new and there was still things to learn and discover in minecraft rather than today where the game has already been exploited so much.
Back then I am sure people were more kind and showed good sportsman ship and not today from what I heard.

Ok So no hate on the youtube community today alright.
So back then many youtubers such as

Were just starting
Back then the community for youtube was a lot more cheerful and adventurists
Series like
Minecraft Survival
Let's Plays on Maps like
Withers Challenge
Plus the biggest thing of all was Co-Op
You see youtube Co-Op today is just having another person in a video doing stuff with you and playing something once and never touching it again
Back then Co-Op was special because people would play together for hours and hours while recording them, and people could watch them have a great time together which encouraged other people to do the same. People who Co-Op in a series would usually stick around and play together from Episode 1 to The Finale
While sometimes have a guest come and join them
Let me go off topic here and mention Co-Op channel
TheRunwayGuys Consisting of Chuggaconory/Proton Jon/NintendoCaprisun
These 3 people were amazing let's players who have kept the same algorithm of working hard in their videos.
The Let's Players would play a game and record it for people to watch. They would usually play the whole game 100%
Not a lot of youtubers do this today
TheRunwayGuys was a let's play channel with these 3 youtubers and sometimes would have a guest player 4
This is KINDA how youtube was for the minecraft community back then
But I have not even mentioned the big one
The Yogscast
This was a big huge group of youtubers who would play maps and minigames together and for a long time was the main source of minecraft content but lately have got less and less Popular.

There are many things I have not even talked about but this was the three key
points of the Creative Era.
While there is nothing wrong with the Era we have today,
I just wanted to take a trip back to memory lane for all you Veterans and possibly inform new players of how minecraft was like back then.
