FAQ:

Where is the "#.#.#" file?
The #s stand for the numbers of the Minecraft version you are looking in for the textures/sound/etc (i.e. 1.4.7, 1.7.2, or 1.8). If there is a version of Minecraft that is not in there, go to your Minecraft Launcher, select "New Proflie" or "Edit Profile" on the bottom left of the screen and under "Version Selection" choose the version of Minecraft you'd like to download. All versions since InDev (old_alpha) are avalible.

My sound files are not playing in-game.
Make sure your sounds folder is spelled: "sounds". Also check the sound flie you are playing is in its correct sub-folder and is in ".ogg" format.

Do I need to use Audacity to convert audio files?
No. Any software programs that can save audio files as .ogg are fine. I personally use Audacity because it is free and supports a range of audio formats.

Is there a faster way to convert all audio files at once?
To my knowledge, yes. However, the only methods I have found require buying third-party software and that is outside of my area of experience.

The FAQ doesn't answer one of my questions.
