Great Blog -Nether-!  And I agree, Minecraft would most likely be much more interesting with additional building/decoration items, opening up many more interesting possibilities within the game.

Any update after 1.2 was one that didn't need to happen, I think the game was absolutely perfect when 1.2 was released, after that it all went downhill.

I think that right now, Mojang is focusing on mapmaking tools (the command block, NBT tags in-game and ect.)
but i think they might change the direction into some more building related things in the future. At least i hope so :D

i actually like the new direction of minecraft, idk why so many people hate on it.

I think all the fun and enjoyment of single player left when 1.8 came out. :(
I think what bothers me the most too is the fact that Mojang is using the :old" update numbers (1.7, 1.7.2, 1.6 etc.) and it's going to start to confuse people.  I think Mojang has gone too far changing minecraft. Where this game is heading, no one knows; but the main problem is, it's going to be absolete soon and placed in a shelf among the old games we don't play anymore.

Why can't the people who develop the game make a change to it?   "It's quite a bad idea and that isn't really what minecraft is.", the developers decide what minecraft is, not us. It's like saying that cod ghosts is not call of duty when the CREATORS made it "CALL OF DUTY ghosts". I can agree the community is annoying as hell now, but also "minecraft is aiming more to RPG than it is building", hmm, what about stained clay, carpet, stained glass, quartz, the new wood, new grass stuff, the new plants, and the new different shaped block system with resource packs being added in 1.8 (SPECIFICALLY for building purposes)? Is that not directed towards building? What rpg have they added? Some temples, villager trading, more common villages, a beacon, and a little wood box called a witches hut. "Not enough building stuffs being added", almost every update they add more new building blocks than they do resources or "RPG" things. Anywho idgaf so whatevs, community is a lot more immature and annoying than it was before (Yes this comment was annoying).

I have to agree with the RPG stuff but I loved minecraft just vanilla before when the wolves came out that was good enough the simplicity is what kept me going now its just to much and i wish they would just stop adding minecraft used to the coolest game ever for me now its just meh

Personally, I think that they don't add much of RPG, ok they did add villagers and enchanting and the End and stuff, but that's it. And that isn't much of RPG. Also, the commands shouldn't make any difference in Survival, and make adventure maps better. The modification in the game, as you say it, is only added in to make you have more fun, not to annoy you or anything. And yes, you are part of the community, but Mojang won't slow down.
