Name: The Elder Scrolls V - Skyrim
Genre: RPG
Release Date: 11th November 2011

PEGI Rating: 15

General Summary:
The latest installment in the Elder Scrolls series is set in the mystical realm of Skyrim. Skyrim is a region of a world known as Tamriel. Tamriel is split up into many different regions such as Hammerfell, Morrowind, Cyrodil and Skyrim.
Graphics:
The graphics of Skyrim weren't amazing, and especially on the Xbox 360 version i found some textures and shadows to be jagged and pixelated. I feel that the graphics of the game were generally good, they well supported the gameplay and set the mood and were a major improvement from the last Elder Scrolls game.
Gameplay:
I felt that the gameplay of Skyrim itself was superb, the quality of the level design was amazing, nearly each zone was seperately created for a unique experience, although i did run into some dungeons that looked alike and also some towers and forts, although this was generally later on in the game. I thought that the quest layout wasnt too hard to understand, and it was generally easy to understand where you were supposed to be going. The AI of the game was superb, although i did run into a few slight glitches and annoying instances such as in the missions where your character was made to follow the AI, the AI did not sense you behind him and did not continue to walk.
Storyline:
I had heard a lot of bad things about the storyline in Skyrim, such as the ending was disspointing. I recently completed myself and wasnt too impressed by the ending, although it wasnt bad and the story overall kept me intrigued and wanting to keep playing. The story flowed very well and has some points and quests that caught you by shock, but also let you decide the general end to the Story. I feel as if the last mission was rushed by the developers as you are not totally introduced to where you will be going and what your task is.
Sound:
The sound in Skyrim really added to the overall experience, from the footsteps of your character and NPC's, to the flowing of rivers and streams as you walk by. Sound in this game makes you feel immersed in the whole role-playing experience and is a great addition to the game.
