The arrow slotted in to place, The string was pulled tort as the hunter levelled his bow at a innocent pig that was frolicking in the mud and long grass which lay on the edge of the thicket.

The bow string twanged as the arrow was launched through the air towards the the pig who had stopped rolling around and was now sitting bolt upright looking around for the source of the sound. With a Crack! the pig disappear leaving strange purple flakes floating where the pig had once stood, as if it had been pulled from existence by an unseen force.

The hunter ran to where he arrows was lay, embedded in a thick log.
as he was pulling at the arrow, he noticed the purple flakes. he stooped down to pick up a flake and examine it closer. The flake had little inscription on it that were glowing a slightly lighter shade of purple, The inscriptions looked like runic symbols but he could not work out what it said.

The light was beginning to fade from the forest which surrounded him and he knew he needed to return home, may be some one at the village knew anything about the flakes, but as he once more went to gaze down at the strange glowing flakes it disappeared with a "Zoop". It didno t matter, he knew he had seen it, he did didno t he? as he bent to pick up he arrows he noticed something was stuck to shaped flint. One of the flakes! but not like the other it was loosing colour, it was slowly fading to be a greyish colour with a hole were the arrow had pieced it.

He bundled it into his pocket and start to run home.
