The words I am about to say have been said many time before. However I will say them again; The Great and Powerful Trixie was not always so Great and Powerful. In fact she did not even have her magnificent horn until one fateful day...

Believe it or not, Trixie was ridiculed in the school she attended. She was the only earth pony there. Everypony else was a pegasus or a unicorn. Nopony ever talked to her and she was ignored all the time. She didn't mind. She had her parents. Her parents. Her mother was a beautiful unicorn with a horn that was only rivaled by the Princesses horns. Her father was a magnificent stallion with wings that were arguably the best in Equestria. She was the disgrace to the family, she had what everypony had and nothing more.

One morning, when the sun was shining brightly upon all of Equestria, Trixie was walking through the dense forest by her grand home. She heard a small yelp, quickly followed by a yell for help. She disregarded the call as one of the forest creatures. When she heard it again, she began to realise it was the voice of a filly. She began to trot towards the sound. She came across a clearing with a large tree, that had fallen, in the middle of it. The yells were coming from here. She glanced around and saw a small filly with a pink coat stuck underneath a branch that had fallen off the tree. She immediatly galloped over. Trixie looked round deserately seeking help. There was none and if she left the filly, another branch could fall and crush her. Trixie wondered what in Equestria she could do...
