My name is Steve....I used to have a peaceful life. Mining coal and chopping down trees. I lived in a great village. The village I lived in was the best place to live in all of Minecraftia! It was sprawling! A giant city with obsidian walls all the way around! All of the mobs were outside the city, and the iron golems stayed inside making sure that no mob would ever spawn. The population was around 5,000 minecraftians. It was the best lit city, the best built city, the safest mining city... But anyway, my life changed forever after I walked in the mine alone one day... I had gotten out of my bed, eaten a cooked pork chop and checked on my tamed wolfs. I was hoping that soon i could even have a cat. You see, on an exploration for mob spawners to experiment on, the explorers found the biggest biome any explorer had ever seen! It had huge trees with vines going down it. You could even climb them! They found a mob called ocelots and found out how to tame them.The explorers tamed a large group and brought them back. But I digress... As I was saying, I had gone through my morning routine, checking my chests and what not. I checked my clock. The sun was barley a quarter on the dial. I knew that meant it was time for work. I grabbed my iron pick and iron helmet to prepare to go to the mine. I gave my wolf a pork chop before I left, and went out the wooden door... While I walked down the street, everyone was quite. Te usually quite active city seemed dead as a ghost town. As I arrived at the mine there were two strange things. One, that no one else was there, and two, that all the redstone lamps were shut off... I flipped the main switch around five times yet they never turned on. I was mildly creeped out.. Something inside me, something deep inside me told me to not go in to the mine. It told me to go back home and forget about mining just for the day. It made me feel as if there was something in there, something angry, something sinister, something that was out to kill. I decided that I had to go in there, I had to make a living... So I ventured in. I made my way to the minecart in pitch black and turned the minetrack on. It glowed red, illuminating the mine with an eerie glow. As the minecart progressed through the tunnel system I saw a light up ahead. I stopped the minecart and walked towards the light. I couldn't believe my eyes. It was an unexplored area of the mine. We miners had explored, what we thought to be, all of the cave systems and underground chasms. I looked down into the chasm. A hot, glowing orange, stream of lava traveled down the chasm, a couple of blocks next to it there was a stream of water. I traveled the water stream down inside it and saw not to far away from where the water pooled, diamond ore! It looked like a rich vane so I stared to collect it. After the first diamond popped out I heard my name whispered into my ear "Steve." I turned around, but all I saw was two glowing eyes. To be continued......
