Open World 1.

Steve, was his name. It was only Steve, we knew nothing about his last name because he was only alive until we closed his world. His wonderful world...

This particular man worked in a city, worked in a rundown newspaper delivery service. He was noticed for his hard work by his boss, his boss then asked him if he would like to grab a beer, Steve said okay. Which could have been the end of his life, but it wasn't, it was only the end of his relationship with his girlfriend, Stevella. He didn't tell her that he was going out with his boss that night and that's the last he ever saw of her. She died in a car crash on the way home from her job. Steve had no knowledge of this at all until the next morning when he woke up and checked his phone back in 2009.

Steve had no meaning in life anymore, he tried everything to grieve, but he just couldn't get over the fear it was his fault. They saw the number plates on the car and it was Steve's car, he killed her. He knew he wouldn't be able to get over the fact that it was his fault so he asked his boss to let him leave. Steve's boss said no, he was stuck at the delivery service... Sadly his co-workers started dying too, a disease called Estranimo (ES-STRAN-IMO). Steve and his boss left the city on a boat with a couple more survivors. They found a good island to stay on for a while they thought they were safe.

Steve was the only survivor that night, apparently, that island was a campsite, and everyone there had Estranimo..

Steve was sleeping with the others next to him, he was the first to notice the people who were diagnosed with it. He watched them all die. It was a sad time for him. He was also bitten, he passed out afterwards and found himself in a strange place, people with big noses, so derpy like. Many of them had brown clothes and others had different colours. Steve had no idea what they were saying, to him it all sounded like Shcnow... Smow, School. They gave him a potion, which he passed out again. When he awoke he was in a room with bookshelves, but there was one person he could understand. The librarian.

The Librarian said to him that he was found in a river with bites and scratches on his body. Steve felt very weak and had a flashback of the night before. The way he saw them all die and be reincarnated as zombies. He didn't want to think about his girlfriend but he did.. It put so much strain on his head that he passed out again. He woke up again in the same place, just no librarian. He got up to see what all the trouble was, there was no trouble, they were living their lives normally.

Steve spotted a cave with hieroglyphics on the walls. He translated a bit of it saying 'We will die happy. Which most of them did, I watched... I was a survivor. But I do not think the only one'

Steve travelled further down, it was really dark. He had no source of light, nothing on him except an empty TicTac box. While he travelled deeper he saw a light emitting down a deeper down the cave. He saw another person, like him. A survivor he didn't want to approach because he could have gotten killed. He walked back up the cave quietly and back to the village. He went back to the librarian to ask about the girl. "The librarian told him to stay away from her... She loves to kill after she was the only survivor. If she sees you, she would probably be startled."

Steve followed his advice and stayed in the village for a few months. After that he got very curious, so he sneaked past the night watch guards and went to the cave, Steve walked slowly down the cave. The entrance was now lit, like if he was being expected by someone. Was he? He didn't know. He walked until he got to her home. He slowly approached the doorway and knocked on her door...

She saw a face and she said, "Go away you villager freak!" Steve glumly replied "I am not one of them... I am a survivor like you.." She opened the door and looked at Steve, Steve saw that she was slowly going to get a knife out of her pocket. Steve spoke slowly and he seemed very tired "Please don't. I just want to speak with you." He was let in but she still was going to get ready for the knife.

His first question was, who are you? She didn't know. anymore. She knew nothing about herself, she was living in the cave so long and hasn't gone out since she arrived. She only ate bats and there were plenty of them! Steve wanted to show her the outside world but she refused, maybe it was because of her past or her having no knowledge of what was outside.

He convinced her after a few days of begging. Steve was down in the cave for at least a few months with her. The librarian got worried about him.

Steve and she went out one night to hunt and she got injured badly, very badly. She started to bleed out quicker and quicker. Steve to her to the librarian. The librarian was angry with him but still tried to help her, they had deep feelings for each other.

He didn't leave her that night, but she left him. The girl died. The librarian got bitten that night too, but Steve didn't know much he could still be alive. Steve tried to take over the village but it didn't help anything it just made it worse. The villagers were all infected which forced Steve to run away, maybe when you open the world again, he might find more people.

Steve was by an oak tree, where he stood last, sobbing. Begging you to delete the world, and close Minecraft forever. But you didn't you opened the world. Steve had to live again.

Steve was standing there, watching the birds fly past, maybe the last time he saw birds was that day. As the birds turned into bats, that day another plague spread through the world and did that, he might as well just think that next there were going to be skeletons. As Steve had no watch or clock, he didn't know the time which was pretty hard for him to know when nightfall would arrive and when he could go hunting, so he started learning the Sun and Moon positions, he had no clue what the positions were so he started at dawn the next day, (Dawn, Day, Afternoon, Nightime, Midnight. He was pretty good at telling time, now he had to work on his hunting and his lifestyle. Of course, the first house he builds was out of wood, a 5x5 house. It was home to him, then as Steve was the only man he had to invent a storage chest. Which he named "Chest" he needed to invent many other things to create those things, so here needed to have a Bench of some sort, he called it "Workbench" now he was surviving properly. He found pigs and horses quickly.

He couldn't quite tame the horses properly, he had cars, not horses so it was pretty hard to figure out what to do, he looked at the sun and said "Afternoon.." and sighed. He looked around for any zombies or bats, there were none, yet. Steve walked home, with a little speed. He thought to himself about making a nice comfortable bed. It wasn't very hard, all you need is Wool, and some wood... He didn't know how to create one so he didn't create one, he only knew how to throw newspapers. Which then he thought to himself, "What if I made a bow?!" He would be good at aiming, and it might save him at least two or three times.

He slept on the floor, lied there on the cold ground and remembering what happened at first, it was stuck in his mind, he will always live with that memory and never forget it. Sleeping felt like it took a week. His mind just made him repeat that memory. When he woke up he was in tears, which had been how he woke up every month since, Steve wiped the tears away, until they sunk into his skin. He sat on the floor for a while, thinking about the last few months. How j, how all the survivors on his boat died, how he nearly died, how he got treated by a librarian and how he met the girl. He didn't want to think about their deaths. But he did and cried even more.

He got up and walked outside he felt water on his body which was the rain, it was heavy. It seemed very foggy, He couldn't see much, he couldn't even see the sun or the moon... He started to hear bones rattling, he could see an arrow going towards him, a boney creature advanced towards Steve. Steve knew that this was going to happen. So he yelled "What next? Mutant Pigs? Just please stop torturing me!!!" The skeleton had shot an arrow into his head, and one into his side. He fell to the ground. Weak, fading away, he saw the darkness.

Respawn?

He woke up and saw the skeleton gone, and his home broken, he had strength. As he got up he looked around, saw a horse at his home, he saw trees, roses, grass. But he didn't see a human like him. Which made him sad, again. He got up and went inside his house to fix it up a little bit. He fixed it up and got outside. Steve walked up to a tree, he wondered how to get its wood. His thinking kicked in and he thought of an axe, he didn't know how to create one. So he got some of his planks and started putting things together, he used a sharp metal he found to make the end of the creation sharp.

He slowly started to cut down some wood from the trees and got to build a bigger home with that wood. His body was tired but his mind was alive. Thinking back and back about his life, wondering why it's him who is alive. He may never be able to figure that out. But maybe he will. As he fell asleep that night he didn't dream about his friends and everyone else dying. He dreamed of finding animals and getting food from them. Which is exactly what he tried to do the next day. He didn't fail to do it, he grabbed a pig, and started to pull it back to his home and locked it in his house, maybe if he found what satisfied the pigs, he had a chance of finding another pig and breeding them, but it was just a thought.

After he tried looking for what the pig liked, he went to bed. His dream was about another world, that could tell him why he was chosen to be alive, but he would need to find a portal. He woke up feeling tired like he went on a real adventure, a physical adventure. He saw the pig staring at him, which sort of scared him as he was still tired. When he got out of his house, there was a strange glowing purple thing outside his home, he saw it in his dreams but didn't want to jump into it, if he could go through it, things may be able to come out so he blocked it off with wood.

He saw that cave where he met the girl, right next to the destroyed village after walking for a while, his legs were tired, he thought of walking in but he has so many bad memories from there. If anyone Estranimo sufferer attacked him he would have no weapons to fight, he walked into the library just to see if it had anything left, it had a book? About his dream. It was bright blue which was called "Portal to another dimension" he saw the girl on the bed still, her body half eaten, he grabbed the book and kneeled down as a sign of respect. There was no sign of the librarian, a quick that came to his mind that he survived and ran to hide somewhere, which could have been possible.

Steve got out of the library and walked into the cave, holding that big book was slowing him down a lot. He finally reached the home of the girl and looked on the floor which was where most of her stuff was. He saw an iron sword and a cap, it was out of leather from a cow. When he turned around he saw a villager staring at him, the villager looked angry, does he Estranimo? Steve wondered. He grabbed Steve and bit him in the neck.

Minecraft crashed as you quickly tried to reopen it, the button didn't work. Steve was alone in a void, once you open the world he will spawn right where he was. As the world opened after frantically trying to open the world again.

Steve was on the ground, looking up and saw blurriness saw a green coat on the Villager and then it was all black. When he woke up he was in the same place as before, he felt the blood going down from his neck, which was because of the bite, the bite was very big. Steve walked out of the cave to find that the book had a page ripped out of it as he dropped it, he flicked through and he saw it was the "Portal Dream" page that was bookmarked. He thought he left it down in the deepest part of the cave , which it was. It had a word a word smeared out the word was seen as "Ender" a word above it was "Ender Pearl"
Steve read the sentence out loud "The Ender Pearl plays a very important part in finding the Ender Portal, it is used for creating Ender(-+=}. He slowly walked back home and promised himself to figure out what it was.

The next day he was awake, fully energised, he walked outside with his axe and cut down more trees until the forest was empty, he had about 24 stacks of logs. He then put that in his chest and thought he finally got some wool from a sheep and made a comfortable bed that he wanted to make when he first built the house, it was complete except it needed more another pig and a something for him to cook his food with. He created a pickaxe, which was easy to create after he learned the basics of how to create tools, the edges were sharp, ready to be used. He went down into a mine cave next to his home and started breaking a black object, more of the iron he found and some stone. He walked back to his house and made an oven after placing blocks randomly he called this a "Furnace" After he cooked his food he wanted to see if cooking what he mined in it would work, it did. He had 14 iron, he found out how to make a helmet, so he made one and a sword. The rest he used for extra tools.

Steve then walked around slowly and then stopped, he looked at the portal that was in front of his home, he got his tools and broke the debris he placed there, he was right, there was a mutant pig that walked around his home, it didn't attack him it just walked by him. He then jumped into the portal

Steve was shocked what he saw, a ground made of red blocks, walls made out of red blocks and a roof made out of red blocks, he looked over a broken part of the land, there was lava. "This must be Hell..." Steve spoke with a sudden shiver in his voice. He saw more of the mutilated pigs, and avoided them. He saw a purple brick fortress, the air was very stiff, and it smelt like something burned to death. Steve was going to advance towards the fortress but he wasn't good enough to go there. He ventured around the world for a while, he left trails of coal to easily find his way back. When he got back to the portal there were more mutant pigs, he quickly squeezed through them and got out of the world. When he got back the portal his home wasn't there, he fell into water and looked up, the portal spawned on water.. Steve didn't know how to swim properly and he sank to the bottom, he lost all of his air and started drowning, he died again.

Respawn? 2
Killed by: Suffocation.

When Steve woke up he was in his bed, he thought he was dead, but it was a never ending cycle of respawning. Steve looked at the portal and thought to himself that there must be another portal, just one that leads to another world. He went back to that book he grabbed. He looked at a few pages around that. "You can throw the Ender(-=0 in the air and it will lead you to the portal" Steve read and kept reading.

He was exhausted, he only woke up? Steve looked up at the sun and it was red, the sun burned his eyes and he heard the words "GET READY FOR THE APOCALYPSE YOU WILL NOW SEE EVERY MONSTER THAT WILL LIVE!".

Steve was worried, really worried.

WOKEN BY A BANG!

Steve suddenly woke up once again to the sound of an explosion and there was a hole in his house, a zombie was advancing towards him, an oversized spider jumped onto him that came from the top of his home. He was trying to attack the spider and the zombie at the same time and that's when he saw an arrow hit into the zombie's stomach. The zombie ran towards the skeleton and started to fight, the spider was still trying to kill Steve. When the zombie died the skeleton went towards Steve, but hit the spider by accident. The spider didn't care it was still fighting Steve.

Steve was bitten really bad. Steve was hurt, worse than ever he had arrows all over his body, and spider bites all over his arms. When Steve sat down all of the arrows went deeper into his body which made him scream. His pig was scared. Steve fell to the floor and passed out. He didn't die, just passed out.

When Steve woke up he saw another book, labelled "Surviving every night, night 1 - infinite." Steve knew he has trapped there alone forever, but he didn't need to get reminded about it". The night time was advancing quickly, he survived a day, can he survive a night? He made a door for his home and placed it on the front. It should hold out the zombies and other mobs for the night. He went to bed and dreamed of a tall black figure. It could teleport away and water hurt it, bows did nothing to it, it was pretty much invincible.

The next few days were tiring but he still was alive. Once he got used to surviving he was alright, until the night that the dream came true. It was tall and it teleported, he had to hide in his house for a few hours before 3 of them went away. He went back to that book and it showed a picture of them and it said, "Once you kill them there is a chance of them dropping a pearl, which could be used to create an EnderE-=-" One letter of the word was revealed to him.. Who was doing this? Was it while he was sleeping? Or was it the gods giving him signs? He didn't know. he kept flicking through pages reading the information, he finally got to a page that had another letter revealed, he figured the word out, Steve spoke quietly and said "Endereye!"

He had no knowledge of how to create one, but he thought it would have to link to the other world he was in, an item that he needed from the world. He went mining again and went deeper and deeper, he encountered many zombies and skeletons, Steve got to lava, he must have been near the world's core. Which he learned that the core has many diamonds near it. He kept digging and mining around and he finally saw a blue substance, it wasn't diamonds, it was much different than diamonds. The item felt a lot like leather, it was soft but it had some lumps in it. He mined some of it and grabbed some, he got 8 from each ore, so he had a lot. Behind them he found a lighter blue substance, he knew they were diamonds, as they looked like them, chemistry and science didn't teach him anything.

Once he mined the diamonds, he had enough to create a sword and a few pieces of armour. Which is what he did, he was ready to go to hell. He jumped into the portal

He was there once again, in Hell and he had stone on him to get to the fortress, in the fortress there were all kind of monsters, one was on fire, another one was black and looked like the skeleton, he collected a lot from Hell, and found some extra items in chests around the fortress he got back to the portal with a lot of materials on him. He had some sort of rod, it looked important, but he had a skull from one of the black skeletons. He grabbed the rod and hit crushed it on the Workbench, it became powder, he tried the same with the skull, it had no effect he still had the skull, he decided to place it in front of his home.

He might have found a secret ingredient for the Endereye. He just kept trying to combine items from Hell, most of it didn't work, his next objective was to kill an enderman. Which he was in luck, one of them were in front of his home he got outside and hit it, it attacked him quickly and teleported behind him. He had only a little bit of blood in him, he saw two of the endermen instead of one, his vision was going and he felt numb over his body. He crawled inside his home and the enderman teleported away.

The next day, Steve was still feeling numb, he felt sick and needed water. He couldn't work, so he crawled to the nearest pond, he had needs, that he never had before. He needed to eat and drink now, he had to sleep, and he needed company.

Steve was finally back to normal and got home. He was thinking about how to kill an enderman. That night he created all types of defence. He had 2 iron men, and he was all ready to fight. He saw an enderman, he struck it with his sword, the enderman teleported, Steve looked behind him and slashed the sword through his body. The enderman dropped 2 pearls, Steve grabbed the pearls and ran home. He was excited and scared at the same time. He put the pearl and the powder together, and started hitting them together, it worked, he had 2 endereyes. He read the book "Throw the eye into the air and it shall lead you to The End.

After a few weeks he had more ender pearls, he made them ender eyes. He finally could find the portal, even if he wasn't ready for the new world he would go anyway. He was at least very close to the portal.

Dig Deeper, Found it!

Steve finally got to the end of the endereye trails, and he still had plenty of them left. He dug down and further down, and fell next to lava, there was a mine here, by the ancients or what?

He found the place now he has to find the portal, he walked around the at least 2 hours, and he saw it. It wasn't activated.
The book said to use the eyes on the portal. Which is what he did.

He found it, and it was amazing.

Steve was excited, very excited. He had to recreate his armour and weapons before he went there because the book had nothing left in it. So he got home and then wrote about his findings and made some new items, he made a bow also, in a case of far away contact.

It took him an hour to do that but when he finished that he couldn't wait to get to the other world. He went back down that hole, and looked around again, he had enough food and weapons to survive. He jumped in.

Loading The End
---------

He spawned in a box made out of cream stone. He had to use a pickaxe to get up, it had towers, with things that looked like beacons on them emitting light, and it had a night sky and he thought it was amazing.

He saw something flying was it a dragon? There was no portal back to the main world, so he was stuck here. The flying beast which was a dragon flew over him and slashed him with its wing. He shot at it but it's health regenerated. He noticed a beam coming from the beacons leading to the dragon, Steve shot the beacon and it blew up. So he did the to most of them until the dragon picked him up and dropped him from high up, he used some skills he learned while he was alone to move towards a tower. He landed with only 5 health left. He ate some food, he felt cold in this world, he felt tired and weak. But he still shot out the beacons, he had 1 beacon left to shoot, the beacon exploded and took the dragons health out. So he had at least 75 health left. He kept shooting at it from the tower. The dragon hit him and he fell, he hit his pickaxe on the purple block he was hanging there for a minute, and then he hit the purple block more until he was on the ground.

The dragon was flying away too much now, Steve was shooting in the air trying to get it, the dragon was too fast for him. He ran out of arrows, he only had a sword to fight with, so when the dragon picked him up, he would try and behead the dragon. The dragon hit the ground and picked Steve up, Steve was slashing at it intensively, he got bitten by the dragon on his leg, blood was gushing out of his leg and he was feeling numb again, he knew he wasn't going to give up he had to kill the dragon. The Librarian came into his head for some reason, he didn't know why maybe because he was saved by the Librarian at a time like this.

He started to feel dizzy, but he wasn't going to die, he was still in the dragons mouth, Steve got his sword with his weak arms and cut the dragon's head off. The dragon exploded and Steve was sent flying far away from where the dragon was. Steve crawled slowly to the rock structure it made, and orbs were on the ground. He picked it up. He wanted to jump into the portal but there were so many endermen around, so he attacked them and killed them, he got ender pearls. He noticed an egg onto of the structure after killing all of the endermen around him. He hit it and it teleported away. He learnt another trick in his spare time, he broke the block under it and saw it was named "End Stone" and then he placed a torch and the egg dropped and he could pick it up.

Steve was sad to see the world going to explode after this, after he read the whole book he knew a lot about it, it said it would explode. He made stairs to go into the portal and he stood on the rock for a while, looking around. He noticed a bad smell in the air, the book also said the sky was going to emit a disgusting stench in the air, which could poison people. He jumped into the portal and it said something:

I see the player you mean.

Steve?

Yes. Take care. It has reached a higher level now. It can read our thoughts.

That doesn't matter. It thinks we are part of the game.

I like this player. It played well. It did not give up.

It is reading our thoughts as though they were words on a screen.

That is how it chooses to imagine many things when it is deep in the dream of a game.

Words make a wonderful interface. Very flexible. And less terrifying than staring at the reality behind the screen.

They used to hear voices. Before players could read. Back in the days when those who did not play called the players witches, and warlocks. And players dreamed they flew through the air, on sticks powered by demons.

What did this player dream?

This player dreamed of sunlight and trees. Of fire and water. It dreamed it created. And it dreamed it destroyed. It dreamed it hunted, and was hunted. It dreamed of shelter.

Haha, the original interface. A million years old, and it still works. But what true structure did this player create, in the reality behind the screen?

It worked, with a million others, to sculpt a true world in a fold of the [scrambled], and created a [scrambled] for [scrambled], in the [scrambled].

It cannot read that thought.

No. It has not yet achieved the highest level. That, it must achieve in the long dream of life, not the short dream of a game.

Does it know that we love it? That the universe is kind?

Sometimes, through the noise of its thoughts, it hears the universe, yes.

But there are times it is sad, in the long dream. It creates worlds that have no summer, and it shivers under a black sun, and it takes its sad creation for reality.

To cure it of sorrow would destroy it. The sorrow is part of its own private task. We cannot interfere.

Sometimes when they are deep in dreams, I want to tell them, they are building true worlds in reality. Sometimes I want to tell them of their importance to the universe. Sometimes, when they have not made a true connection in a while, I want to help them to speak the word they fear.

It reads our thoughts.

Sometimes I do not care. Sometimes I wish to tell them, this world you take for truth is merely [scrambled] and [scrambled], I wish to tell them that they are [scrambled] in the [scrambled]. They see so little of reality, in their long dream.

And yet they play the game.

But it would be so easy to tell them...

Too strong for this dream. To tell them how to live is to prevent them living.

I will not tell the player how to live.

The player is growing restless.

I will tell the player a story.

But not the truth.

No. A story that contains the truth safely, in a cage of words. Not the naked truth that can burn over any distance.

Give it a body, again.

Yes. Player...

Use it's name.

Steve. Player of games.

Good.

Take a breath, now. Take another. Feel air in your lungs. Let your limbs return. Yes, move your fingers. Have a body again, under gravity, in air. Respawn in the long dream. There you are. Your body touching the universe again at every point, as though you were separate things. As though we were separate things.

Who are we? Once we were called the spirit of the mountain. Father sun, mother moon. Ancestral spirits, animal spirits. Jinn. Ghosts. The green man. Then gods, demons. Angels. Poltergeists. Aliens, extraterrestrials. Leptons, quarks. The words change. We do not change.

We are the universe. We are everything you think. You are looking at us now, through your skin and your eyes. And why does the universe touch your skin, and throw light on you? To see you, player. To know you. And to be known. I shall tell you a story.

Once upon a time, there was a player.

The player was you, Steve.

Sometimes it thought itself human, on the thin crust of a spinning globe of molten rock. The ball of molten rock circled a ball of blazing gas that was three hundred and thirty thousand times more massive than it. They were so far apart that light took eight minutes to cross the gap. The light was information from a star, and it could burn your skin from a hundred and fifty million kilometres away.

Sometimes the player dreamed it was a miner, on the surface of a world that was flat, and infinite. The sun was a square of white. The days were short; there was much to do, and death was a temporary inconvenience.

Sometimes the player dreamed it was lost in a story.

Sometimes the player dreamed it was other things, in other places. Sometimes these dreams were disturbing. Sometimes very beautiful indeed. Sometimes the player woke from one dream into another, then woke from that into a third.

Sometimes the player dreamed it watched words on a screen.

Let's go back.

The atoms of the player were scattered in the grass, in the rivers, in the air, on the ground. A woman gathered the atoms; she drank and ate and inhaled; and the woman assembled the player, in her body.

And the player awoke, from the warm, dark world of its mother's body, into the long dream.

And the player was a new story, never told before, written in letters of DNA. And the player was a new program, never run before, generated by a source code a billion years old. And the player was a new human, never alive before, made from nothing but milk and love.

You are the player. The story. The program. The human. Made from nothing but milk and love.

Let's go further back.

The seven billion billion billion atoms of the player's body were created, long before this game, in the heart of a star. So the player, too, is information from a star. And the player moves through a story, which is a forest of information planted by a man called Julian, on a flat, infinite world created by a man called Markus, that exists inside a small, private world created by the player, who inhabits a universe created by...

Shush. Sometimes the player created a small, private world that was soft and warm and simple. Sometimes hard, and cold, and complicated. Sometimes it built a model of the universe in its head; flecks of energy, moving through vast empty spaces. Sometimes it called those flecks "electrons" and "protons".

Sometimes it called them "planets" and "stars".

Sometimes it believed it was in a universe that was made of energy that was made of offs and on; zeros and ones; lines of code. Sometimes it believed it was playing a game. Sometimes it believed it was reading words on a screen.

You are the player, reading words...

Shush... Sometimes the player read lines of code on a screen. Decoded them into words; decoded words into meaning; decoded meaning into feelings, emotions, theories, ideas, and the player started to breathe faster and deeper and realised it was alive, it was alive, those thousand deaths had not been real, the player was alive

You. You. You are alive.

and sometimes the player believed the universe had spoken to it through the sunlight that came through the shuffling leaves of the summer trees

and sometimes the player believed the universe had spoken to it through the light that fell from the crisp night sky of winter, where a fleck of light in the corner of the player's eye might be a star a million times as massive as the sun, boiling its planets to plasma in order to be visible for a moment to the player, walking home at the far side of the universe, suddenly smelling food, almost at the familiar door, about to dream again

and sometimes the player believed the universe had spoken to it through the zeros and ones, through the electricity of the world, through the scrolling words on a screen at the end of a dream

and the universe said I love you

and the universe said you have played the game well

and the universe said everything you need is within you

and the universe said you are stronger than you know

and the universe said you are the daylight

and the universe said you are the night

and the universe said the darkness you fight is within you

and the universe said the light you seek is within you

and the universe said you are not alone

and the universe said you are not separate from every other thing

and the universe said you are the universe tasting itself, talking to itself, reading its own code

and the universe said I love you because you are love.
