Welcome to the mine times a minecraft news blog today's subject Minecraft 1.8 News, Lets start with what is known well currently there are new stone variants with smooth variants aswell also there is the new slime block which absorbs all fall damage when landed on also the entire skin system is being changed now skins can be asymmetrical and the hat layer now works on the entire body!!! another change is that you can now lock the difficulty of a minecraft world a very important new block for adventure map makers was added the barrier which is an invisible wall that cannot be passed through however you can see them by holding a barrier in your hand for a few seconds then once you switch items you will no longer be able to see them, mobs AI has been upgraded as well so now they avoid holes in the ground and can swim without drowning, teleportation is also now smoother however there is still a small noticeable transition, new commands were added!!!, /kill has been fixed and can now target any living thing and maybe any nonliving entities aswell, a new gamemode has been added spectator mode or gamemode 3, enchanting has been changed so now it requires lapis to enchant but now enchanting is also cheaper, anvils have been changed so that repairing things is now cheaper as well, the villager trading system has been modified and the trades are now more fair than before and are villager class specific also farmer villagers now grow crops and when you trade a villager you get EXP!!! notice the name librarian on this one , mossy brick can be crafted, F3 has been changed so that now you can go in a certain direction easier when using coordinates, command blocks in minecarts were added, colors in resource packs can now determine in game colors!!!
