"The Forest"
12 year old Emily Road was going on a hike in the forest near her house. She was walking for about thirty minutes when she found a crystal clear pond with an admirable waterfall. The pond looked... not normal to Emily. She was so thirsty and she had ran out of water way back when she started. She said to herself. "This pond looks so clear and beautiful! Maybe ill have just one sip...". As Emily bent over the waterfall to see if there are any fish and to make sure it's safe.
"Looks Safe..." Emily said getting on her knees. She took her empty water bottle and filled it up with the pond water. "Wow! The water is so clear for a pond!" Emily said examining the water in the bottle. She had a sip of the clear enticing water. She had a happy expression on her face and drank half of it, refilled it, and left to go back home. She felt weird after about five minutes of walking. "I don't feel so well..." Emily mumbled stumbling around. She felt super dizzy and fell to the ground, knocked out.
Emily Road woke up in the rain, a sharp pain in her back. She sighed as she picked herself up off of the ground. She felt way better than she did before. So she looked at the water in her water bottle and threw it into a tree as it hit branches back and forth then fell to the ground. "I NEVER want to see that waterfall again!" She said starting to run, thinking that her parents would be worrying about her by now. She had no idea how long she had been knocked out for. There was a log in her way up ahead so she jumped and the pain in her back had felt stronger than before.
She mumbled as she fell to the ground. She rubbed her back when she felt something she couldn't even explain. It felt soft. She ran home and ran to her room and looked in her mirror at her back. Her jaw dropped as she saw two, purple, silky, dripping, limp, wings sprouting out of her back.
Emily knew that she couldn't tell her parents. They would yell, and scream at her, and call the ambulance. She ran downstairs, and outside. By now, her parents would have been asleep, she realised. She had no idea what to do now. She ran back to the waterfall. She drank it again, hoping it would reverse her "curse". Nothing. She felt normal as ever. Besides her wings on her back. She gave up trying after a while. She sat down and cried. 'I don't know what to do anymore!" She whaled.
She thought maybe if she got her wings wet. She knelt down on her knees, back to the water. She leaned her back into the water, just slightly touching her wings. She leaned her head back a bit and closed her eyes, feeling the pain go away. She then felt a sudden push on her front side, and a little prick in her arm, and she fell in. She opened her eyes, and could clearly see through the top of the water. She saw three little girls, with wings too. They were laughing, as she slowly sank down in shock. I was paralyzed. I couldn't move a thing.
