Hello again! Today I will briefly be discussing money.

Money as you and I think of it has a long and dark history. It began in ancien- Just Kidding, not explaining that. We are only talking about the science behind money not about its history.

Money has no real value. Yes, I just said it. Think about it, a long time ago gold was the curency. now its just paper. The gold system had some merrets and some disadvantages, Inflation with gold was non-existant. Inflation is when money looses value, for example in 1973 you could buy a full meal for a dollar, now it takes $20 to buy that same meal(and keep in mind food is more easy to come by in modern days)! I am not going deeper into inflation because thats not what I am talking about today. Money is valued by you because you can give it to a store and get something, not because it is worth anything. So we truely dont desire paper do we? nope! we desire the end product. We want the things that you can buy with money not the money itself. keep in mind that since gold is rare and pretty etc. we want it for itself aswell as the things it can buy. This is getting long now xD.

To finish this up, humans desire not the dollar bill, but the things it can buy.

Sry this is so long! I will be writing fiction soon not as much science and such.

If you enjoyed feel free to diamond.

I would beg to differ on the statement, "Money has no real value." I disagree because (IDK if this relates, but...) the penny costs more than one cent to produce.

EDIT: Also, the dollar bill still costs money to produce, so it is NOT worthless.

If the economy crashes, linen isn't worth anything. copper DOES have some value, and tbh I've melted down coins for use in some projects.

yep, the gold-base system eventually gave way to a system in which only the dollar was pegged to gold. now, the dollar is pegged to nothing and other currencies are valued against the dollar. pretty convenient if you're the private institutions who control the printing of the dollar and the interest rates of that initial distribution.

Sarcasm is a tone of voice. It is impossible to use sarcasm in text. Hence the meme: "There is a great need for sarcasm as a font."

I'm sorry, but that's just not the definition of sarcasm.
