So you all know the Minecraft mooshroom (and if not what are you doing here).
But a short summary of it is that it is a red cow with mushrooms on its head that only spawns in the mushroom biomes filled with mooshrooms giant mushrooms and mycelium.
But I think there might be something sinister about the mooshrooms.
So don't you find it weird that mooshroom only spawn in mushroom biomes and not in other places with mushrooms like the nether and dark oak forests.
And that in mushroom biomes there aren't any other mobs like zombies, creeper, and sheep.
at this point, you might be asking how this has anything to do with the mooshrooms.
And to that I say mycelium.
And for the people that don’t know what mycelium is, what really exists by the way is that mycelium is a collection of fungal roots called hyphae and the mushrooms are the fruit.
So imagine that you have a nice island filled with grass, cows, and trees but then a fungus takes over the land and grass trees start dying and being replaced by mycelium and giant mushrooms.
And the cows can't escape because they are on an island and watch how their homeland gets taken over.
And just like the island the cows start to change to they turn red mushrooms grown out of them and their eyes become fully black like in a cartoon when someone's mind is taken over.
How you might ask I think I think the mooshroom is taken over by a parasitic fungus called the ophiocordyceps which takes over ants by spores and when it gets taken over it can't control its body anymore and the fungal fruits grow out of it.
Doesn't that sound just like the mooshroom and for more evidence to see that the mooshrooms is a cow taken over by a mushroom is that when you shear it the mushrooms fall off and a cow appears.
