I'm curious to hear from the community what it is in a skin that grabs your attention?
I've made several skins recently that have gone largely unnoticed. I feel that my most recent, a submission for the Cyberpunk Skin Contest, flew completely under the radar and I have no idea why. They get a couple views when I first post them, and then, nothing.

So from professional skinners and users alike. What is it in a skin that grabs your attention?
Is it:
I feel that I typically include most of those things in my skins and yet the formula doesn't result in any more attention.
What does it take to get noticed? Begging for diamonds and subs? Ridiculously contrasted shading techniques (white to dark color)? Hundreds of subscribers (which is a circular argument)?
I have to say I've been getting frustrated by this, especially when it seems that recently the contest finalists have been biased towards those skins with the most community attention (which arguably makes sense, but it seems that some are overlooked because they may not have very many diamonds).
Just throwing out some feelers to answer this unanswered question - I don't see the pattern.
Thank you all,
MD out.

Is it:
- A catchy title
- The shading
- Good story
- Unique style
- Unique subject matter
- New techniques
- Additional media (pictures, videos, etc)
- Something else

But yeah, you're right. Posting other pictures and/or writing a backstory does help out. I'm thinking, "I'm an ARTIST! Why haven't I been doing this in the first place?"
Thanks for the tips.

The rest are, as you siad, a circular argument, since I cannot go a day without some skinning bigshot hogging 1 or more of the popular reel slots(dinowCookie has 2 on the same day today, really???)
But for now, it will continue to cycle through the same group of skinners who've already been established.
...and or people love to see out of the box thinking like your sun tea skin and others.
