Above is a picture made by a famous artist named Freckenberg. He made famous carvings, but this one was a completely different style than the rest. This one is a depiction of a monster he saw with long, skinny limbs at odd angles. This picture was made in the 1500's.

This picture was photographed more recently then Freckenbergs work. In this picture the slenderman is seen with some kids at the park. He supposedly takes kids. The officials say that it was a photograph distortion and it was a normal person standing in the park. The slenderman is related to the pied piper who killed 130 children.
