So first thing's first, what are the Silent Restorers? There's a Minecraft server that I play on. There are lots of factions so I wanted to make my own! Basically, we restore builds around the server's spawn. But we do it with discussion only between ourselves, and we do it silently and diligently. Except our spawn base got griefed a thousand times, so we all took a break. My username at the time was SirHerobrineXII, but I changed it back to what it was before which was TellingHawk4837. I regret this because now nobody knows who I was.

I went 35k blocks out to base with my friend Zombiebo, the only person on the server who's my friend in real life. My plan was to have one base of operations; a home, but go back to spawn every once in a while to restore builds. However, no one in the group has wanted to come to my base, which is fair, as they've got their own stuff going on. I then decided it would be cool to make a texture pack based on the world of VanillaCraft! Also, I want to have my custom texture pack that people associate me with on my YouTube channel, because why not? So I looked it up added lore like the apple being an Apple logo because I use a mac (It's important to my story on the server, but I'm not gonna go into detail because then this would take hours to read), made the option background stone bricks (because its the best block and is what we built our castle out of), and many other things. I got my friend to playtest it, so that's cool as well.

I personally kinda like my changes to the textures, but it's my first time doing this sort of thing in Minecraft. It's going great! I used a program called GIMP to edit the textures (starting from scratch didn't make sense since I was doing vanilla tweaks instead of something entirely different.) and made new swords and pickaxes, made blocks like granite and andesite look a lot better, and many other little changes. So yeah! That's the story behind my texture pack!
