Earlier, I posted a skin of one of my OC's, Kali. I believe all OC's should have a backstory, so here it is! I'll try to post a chapter every couple of days.
Races
I stopped to catch my breath. I turned my head to see how far behind Akira was. Not seeing, nor hearing her, I headed backwards.
"Akira!" I called. "Akira!" Has she gotten lost again? I thought.
A bush rustled. Bracing myself for whatever I might see, I whipped around to face the source of the sound. It moved again. Inching forward, I started to investigate.
All of a sudden, a small, yellow figure shot out of the bush.
"Mew."
"Akira!" I said, shoving her off of me. "You scared me!"
"Mew."
Ocelots can be so annoying.
"Akira!" I called. "Akira!" Has she gotten lost again? I thought.

Itches
Akira and I love to race. That day, it turned out that she had been watching a fish, but when I came by, she was startled and tried to hide in a bush.A poison ivy bush. She scratched for the rest of the day. Half her fur came out.
I sat on the floor of my tree house. Akira sat nearby, twitching crazily. I used vines to cover her paws so she couldn't scratch. She hated me for it. I only wished I had something to stop the itch for her.
"Do you want to play a game?" I attempted to find a way to distract Akira. She just glared her response.
"Fine then."
I stood up and headed down the ladder. Once I hit the jungle floor, I reached out and grabbed some fruit from the trees nearby. The taste is tangy, yet sweet.
I sat on the floor of my tree house. Akira sat nearby, twitching crazily. I used vines to cover her paws so she couldn't scratch. She hated me for it. I only wished I had something to stop the itch for her.

Amnesia
Akira had been my only friend for years. I don't know how many. I don't my name, my past, or where I am. She has been the one constant in my life.
I met Akira in the jungle. It was back when I was a scared little girl. Scared and alone. I rescued her from a jaguar and she's stayed by my side ever since. Whenever I felt depressed or lonely, Akira was there for me. And I was there for her.
Every day, I tried to find some sort of clue to how I came to the rain forest. Akira came with me. That's why she was my best friend.

Hunting
I went out. Akira stayed home because the poison ivy was still affecting her. Anyway, it was better that way since I was hunting.
The wind was harsh. It shook the branches sending leaves spiraling to the ground.
Heavy footsteps. I froze. Slowly, I tightened my grip on my spear.
More steps. It was a bearded pig. Its meat would last days if I cooked it properly. I subconsciously licked my lips. The pig neared. Just a few more feet. I thought.
It came to be just six feet away. I launched the spear towards it. Its sharp head punctured the pig's flank.
"OINK!" the pig squealed. With my knife, I finished it off.
"Thank you," I whispered to it as the light left its eyes. "I will survive because of you."

Akira felt better once I tossed her a piece of meat. She loves eating. As though she hadn't eaten in weeks, Akira ravenously attacked her share of pig.
"Slow down, Akira!" I laughed. "You'll give yourself a stomachache." She ignored me.
As hungry as I was, I refrained from devouring the meat as Akira did. I needed to stay healthy so I could go out searching once more. My past wasn't just going to come to me. Would it? I thought.
"MUURROOOW!" Akira yowled in pain.
"I told you so," I laughed again.
I picked her up and put her on my lap. She struggled for a moment, but then realized it was futile. Stroking my hand down her back, we sat like that for a while. Before I knew what was happening, I fell asleep.
"Slow down, Akira!" I laughed. "You'll give yourself a stomachache." She ignored me.

Dreams
A dark tunnel stood before me, the tiniest sliver of light shining at the end. The irresistible urge to touch that light overcame me. My feet flew faster than I could think as they hurtled me forward. But even as I ran harder than ever before, the light never got any closer.
A bloodcurdling scream pieced the heavy fog. It caused me to stop in my tracks. My pulse steadily rose.
Who was that?! I thought.
"KALI!"
I spun around rapidly.
Where are they? What's going on? I thought once again. How do they know my name?!
Suddenly, the overwhelming sense of grief and loss came over me. The shock of it all made me sink to my knees, sobbing.
Why do I feel this way?
