Prologue

As I walked down the steps to the mine, I could hear the rain trickling after me. If only my past could wash away with the rain. My name is Zack, and I'm a miner for the city of Riverbend. When you get to a certain age, the mayor takes a look at your grades, and assigns you a job, the worst it can get is cleaning up the roads after creeper invasions. I am actually a very intellegent person, but with all that is going on through my mind, I flunked Math. That's how I got here, in a mineshaft, where at any given moment, the ceiling can collapse on me. But who said mining is a bad thing? I get to keep all the ores I find, so I'm determined to sell my way out of this mess.
