Minecraft, yes the value currently stays at around £20.00, give or take, yet recently it has come to my understanding that the game would be worth much more if it were in reality, but the question to me would be how much would the game be worth?

OK so firstly Minecraft is a game with infinite food and infinite amounts of items in general, or at least enough to live on. As almost everything can be obtained from Mob drops, but let’s look on the land side of things.

So, we’ll do this in pounds sterling because I like being English. So Minecraft is not actually limit less (insert mind blown image) in fact it has an end. The Minecraft world is 60 million blocks by 60 million blocks. The possibilities are practically endless and it’s your own world, so how much would a plot like that cost?

A block in Minecraft is a 1 meter cube. Now an acre is 4,046.86 square meters. Now Minecraft is:

60,000,000 * 60,000,000 = 3,600,000,000,000,000

So now we find how many acres we’re working with:

3,600,000,000,000,000 / 4,046.86 = 889,578,586,854.9937m2

Now we’ll just round that up to 889,578,586,855m2 because we’ll need to purchase that extra decimal. Now we take into account the value of an acre which is around £166,765.00 -£250,147.50. We shall use the first number to find the minimum value of Minecraft so we do:

889,578,586,855 * 166,765 = £148,350,573,036,874,075

So if Minecraft were to be real and people could have their own 889,578,586,855 acres of land it’d be worth £148,350,573,036,874,075 at a minimum. So please appreciate the price you’re getting Minecraft at, be thankful that you don’t have to pay that much.

If there were that much space in the world and enough infact for everyone to have 889,578,586,855 acres each.. I highly doubt an acre would still be worth 150-250k...

I had to re-read that sentence like ten times.

"the game would be worth much more if it were in reality"

If it is possible it would be interesting to adjust the cost by biome, meaning that due to oceans being un-buyable, and deserts being less expensive land.

Also to help you with the location problem, due to minecraft being 99% in the wilderness, I would suggest using a very low estimate for land costs.

Ah yes, I completely discarded that as a concept, but if you were to buy Ocean, you could still build a pretty sleak base, mind you.

i believe that the true value of minecraft is not with the game but what experiences you have with the game, and that is priceless

the price would also depend on location though

Yeah, this is in the assumption of Minecraft acres being charged for by the English regime
