What is this place?
You may be asking, "what is this place?" You may find yourself in one of many biomes, including plains, forests, birch forests, roofed forests, mesas, taigas, snowy taigas, mesa taigas, snower plains, extreme hills, and more. The first thing you should do is get wood. You can find trees in nearly every biome. Just walk up to the tree and punch it, in which you will get wood. Oak, Dark Oak, Birch, Acacia, Jungle, and Spruce wood are no different, other than color, so don't worry about one wood being inferior to other woods. Back on track, you can turn wood into 4 planks. You can turn 4 planks into a crafting table. Now, you can craft more advanced items. Turn two planks into four sticks.

Basic Tools, Mining, and House Building

Now, with sticks and planks, you can craft basic tools. If you enter your crafting table, you can put two sticks in the bottom middle and middle middle and 3 planks in the top row, you will craft a wooden pickaxe. If you do the same, except this time, move the plank in the top left corner to the middle right slot. This will give you a wooden axe. With a wooden pickaxe, you can mine stone. Mining stone will give you cobblestone, which you can use to craft stone tools. Note that every tool is crafted the same way with different matierials replacing wood, stone, etc.

Craft a stone pickaxe. If you're wondering "what the point of this is," stone is superior to wood. Stone pickaxes can mine faster than wood. Same for axes. They are also stronger than wood, so they will last longer. You can also craft shovels, which can be used to dig dirt, and hoes, which can be used for farming. Back to mining, now you can mine coal, which is flammable. Coal is mainly used for torches and in furnaces, which are crafted by entering a ring of cobblestone into a crafting table. You can use that coal to smelt the iron ore you mined with your stone pick into iron ingots. Iron has many uses that we will get to later.

Now you have stone tools, and a lot of wood and cobble. You can use these blocks to build a house. You can place wood into a cube and hollow out the insides, which you can hollow out. Inside, you can relocate your crafting table and furnace into your house. You can craft a chest by crafting a furnace, but replacing the wood with cobblestone. You can also craft a door to keep zombies, skeletons, creepers, and spiders out. Zombies are like the bottom line troops of an army. They will follow you and attempt to bite you and kill you. Skeletons are archers. They are helpless at close range, but at far away, they can cause trouble. Skeletons will drop bones. Creepers follow you, and if they get too close to you they will explode. DO NOT hug them. If you kill them, you get gunpowder, which you can combine with sand to make tnt. Spiders will jump at you, and killing them will give you string.

How do I defend myself? You can craft a sword out of one stick and two other blocks/ingots (wood, cobble, etc.). If you get close to an enemy, you can left click and you can swing your sword. If you don't fancy close-range, tou can also craft an bow. To craft a bow, you need 3 sticks and 3 string. Crafting arrows as well. If you hold down right click, you will charge your bow and once you release right click, you will let go of the string and your arrow will fly. The longer you hold down on the right mouse button, the more poweful your shot is. Armor can be crafted with leather.

Food
Food. You cannot live without food. You can use your sword to slaghter pigs, which will drop raw pork, cows, which will drop beef, sheep, which will drop mutton, and chicken, which drop feathers and, well, chicken. If you put the meat in the furnace, this will cook the food and it will give you more saturation. Fishing is another way to get food. Craft a fishing rod out of 3 sticks and 2 string.

Upgraded Tools | Diamonds, Redstone, Gold and Lapis
Stone tools and a bad house won't last you long. Remeber how I was talking about iron earlier? Yeah, you can turm those into ingots. Then you can craft iron pickaxes, shovels, axes, hoes, swords, and armor. But, there isn't only iron underground. Gold can be crafted into tools like pretty much everything else. However, since gold is very fragile, it has the least durability and the tools break easily. Redstone can be used as wiring. You can craft pistons, which can push blocks, and repeaters, which carry restone longer distaances, and more. Lapis can be used as a blue dye and for enchanting. Emeralds can be used as currency, shall you find a village. But, what's most interesting are diamonds. Diamonds are the strongest matierial in the minecraft world, beating wood, stone, iron, and gold. Diamond can be crafted into diamond swords, picks, axes, shovels, hoes, and armor. Diamond is also the only matierial that can mine obsidian. Obby (short for obsidian) can be used to craft an enchanting table, as well as portals the the nether.

Glowy Stuff
Using an enchanting table, you can enchant your gear and weapons and tools to make them stronger and tougher. I will list some following enchants that are the most important:
Swords: Sharpness (Up to 5), Unbreaking, (Up to 5), Fire Aspect (Up to 2), and Looting (Up to 3).
Tools: Efficiency (Up to 5)
Armor: Protection (Up to 4), Fire Protection (Up to 4), Projectile Protection (Up to 4)

The Nether
You can use obsidian to make a portal to the Nether. Inside the nether, you will find zombie pigmen. Pigmen will only be agressive to you and you hit them, and other pigmen nearby will also attack you. You will also find ghasts. They will shoot fire charges at you, and you can deflect them with your sword. Alternatively, you can shoot them. You can find nether quartz in the nether, whick is for decoration.

What's most interesting is the Wither boss. You can use 4 soul sand, whick you can randomly find in the nether, and 3 wither skeleton skulls. Wither skeletons are found in nether strongholds and carry swords, unike normal skeletons. Once you combine those two, you will craft the Wither! The Wither does not start off at full health, but instead starts off regenerationg health. Once it is at full health, the Wither will explode! The Wither shoots Wither skulls at you, and upon getting hit, will give you the Wither Effect. It is possible to die from the wither effect.

Upon defeat, the wither will drop a nether star. ether stars can be used to craft beacons.

The End
There is one enemy I haven't talked about yet - the Enderman. These three block tall figures teleport around, and killing them is hard. Endermen drop ender pearls, which can be thrown. You will teleport to the place the pearl landed. You can also craft eyes of ender to find a strong hold. Inside the stronghold, you will find blocks that if you mine, will produce silverfish. There si a portal that needs to be activated by placing Eyes of Ender where thy're missing. Once the portal is lit, you can jump inside.

Inside the End, you will find the ender dragon. Damaging him does nothing, as he regens. First, you will have to destroy the ender crystals on each obsidian tower. Then he will start to take damage. The Ender Dragon will charge at you - that is its form of attack. Upon defeat, a well will appear with an ender dragon egg on top. Jump inside the black portal to return home.

The Aftermath
Now that the evils of the Minecraft world have perished, you are free to do whatever you want in your world.
