The main reason im writing this blog is because many people have been asking me and are unsure weather to stay with bukkit or go with tekkit. Now this blog is mainly for those people stuck and unable to decide, So if this helps poke a diamond :)

Lets start of with bukkit, I personally prefer bukkit as i am quite familiar with it and not only that but my server is more of a medieval type which is why i don't use tekkit. On the other hand bukkit does have a few problems.

If you'd like me to add more pros/cons please let me know!

Pros:
- anyone can join
- A huge variety of plugins
- plugins perform very well
- a huge, friendly community
- most plugins are downloaded direclty from bukkit.org
- More for a medieval server, however mods can change this.

Cons:
- Takes a while before craftbukkit.jar updates (however, they are trying to fix this)

Now the tekkit side, firstly to play on a tekkit server you must have the Technic mod pack. So keep in mind if you are trying to get a popular server this might not be the best option straight of the bat.

Pros:
- Soooooooooooooooooooo many items!
- more of a modern style
- some bukkit plugins are compatible

Cons:
-requires a client, Could have less players if your making a popular server
- plugins don't perfrom as well due to the memory
