NOTICE: Of course hate is a strong word, and these players aren't necessarily always hated. Hated might not even be the word to describe most of these. But tend to be a pain in the neck for server owners and upper staff as a whole at times. TOP 10 PLAYERS (ALMOST) ALL SERVER OWNERS HATE
1. The hit and quiter- This person usually tends to join the server for times ranging from 5 to 10 seconds. However before they even bother to look around or give you the time of day to welcome them, they promptly leave.
2. "Staff Worthy"- These are those players that tend to assume that they can automatically request to be staff after not even having a total play time of a minute on the server. Then tend to leave once their request isn't given right away. This tends to be demotovating as well for smaller server owners when most people join simply to request to apply for staff instead of actually seeing what the server has to offer before applying like a respectful player.
3. The hounder- This player makes use of requesting assistance from server administration. However this player individual feels the need to over use this privaledge. Constantly hounding down server administration miniscule inconveniences. Whether it's to ask for food.... every 15 minutes. Or just to help them do small task that more than likely they could've done in the time they took to ask you. And hope that you're never busy when this player is online. Because if you're busy working on setting up a difficult custom plugin, when this player happens to need someone to build a house with him or her. They will go beserk.
4. The swearer- This player in particular has no self censor. Some servers may tollerate this to an extend, however this player has to vocabulary of a drunken sailor and runs this privaledge into the ground. They feel the need to either have to ******* swear every ***** 5 seconds(didn't actually swears just put stars as example). Or if not this, saying things so undignified and inapropriate that you feel the need to have to take a shower after just glancing over their messages in chat.
5. The silent mystery- This player isn't really 'hated' in the the way we're currently using the term. However they can be somewhats irritating at times. Not much but slightly. This is that one active player on your server that logs onto your server everyday for hours. But never. says. anything... Maybe occasionally you'll get the casual okay when speaking directly to them. However other than this. This player is nothing more that mystery as a whole.
6. The destructive hacker- It's sad enough that this player is hacking. But it's even sader that they feel the need to take it out on small servers on a game like minecraft, after both the owner and staff have put so much work and effort into it. However this can be prevented by using some basic tactics to protect your server(which can be covered another day)
7. "The anonymous"- For those of you aware of the internet hacking group anonymous. Many deal with atleast that one player who joins the server claiming that they are a member so much that they begin to believe it... you know. Because a member of such highly infamous internet hacking group uses his time by playing Minecraft. It's even more amusing when they say the line "I could hack this server if I wanted to". Not implying that they should if they could, but in most cases they're all talk.
8. The lagger- This is the player that has been 'welcomed back" to the server 10 times in 10 minutes due to constantly being disconnected by horrid internet. I realize that not all players can afford good internet. But why waste more money on cheap internet overtime that isn't even stable enough to let you function at a tollerable rate.
9. The whiner- To put this into context. This is the player that complains when they get raided on a raid server. As for other analogies. I'm sure you can get the point from that once sentence. Or leave your experience with one in the comments below.

I'm sure all of us have been on a server where a player is over others in some way, like facion size or armor level, but instead of being modest about it they overuse their powers and act like they own the place.
A player who inforces the rules on any other player and tries to make it so he/she is perfect for the role of staff.
