I awaken. This is my first breath of fresh air in a new life.

Except, I can barely breathe in any air, no matter my strife.

I look around, but I can’t see anything. Something is jabbing me.

This is my second life, in my first I heard about this situation. That situation fills me with dread, not glee.

Snow golems get several lives, so long as you use the same pumpkin as a head, and snow that is bare.

My first life was amazing. I lived in a snow biome with all my friends, some human just built us there.

But this time is different. This time I dread.

I see no snow but the singular block underneath me, a single square as big as my head.

I try to move, but cant. I am completely enclosed in some kind of block.

It feels like cobblestone. There is no way to be sure. Then I hear a knock.

And another. I then see light. But it isn’t sun, it is torches. Ill escape if I can.

I know for sure where I am now. I see a shovel, held by a man.

The snow underneath me suddenly disappears, replaced again and again.

This goes on for so long, maybe 8 minutes or 10.

Sometimes the man hits me instead.

This happens several times each day until he goes to bed.

I know now, this is my life.

A life that is filled with pain and strife.

All I am good for to him is my snow.

I would rather get shot in the head with the man’s bow.

But one day, my prayers and wishes come true.

I hear a hiss and then BOOM, I’m able to break through.

There is 3 more creepers, the man fighting them back.

I try to run out, but I hear an explosion, then I hear a crack.

Before I know it, all that is underneath me is stone, the floor broke into a cave.

I knew that this was going to be my grave.

But I see light, I see a way out.

But as I make my way up, I am filled with dread and doubt.

I arrived in the same house, the one that made life not worth living.

This seems to be the bad gift that keeps on giving.

Before I know it all the creepers are gone.

Because unlucky for me, the man set his spawn.

As soon as I blink the man ties something around me, I think it’s a lead.

I beg and cry, but the man doesn’t hear my plead.

I look around, around ten others are there.

I see their solemn faces, but the man doesn’t care.

He laughs and he jokes as we move across the land.

And before I knew it, the grass turned to sand.

I see something in the distance, it looks like a house.

He is taking us there, maybe it is his spouse?

He counts the group’s number, we lost four on the way.

For the ones lost, we mourn and we pray.

We make our way into the cabin, but it’s not a cabin at all.

It’s a room filled with snow stacked oh so tall!

At least, that’s what I think till the man turns on the lights.

To my horror, it is actually a manufacturing sight.

With machines putting pumpkins on top of snow,

The gleam of the white powder giving off an eerie glow.

With a mechanical sound that is almost too unbearable to stand,

And walls that will drive you crazy they are so boring and bland.

The man lines us up, in order of height.

And suddenly, cobblestone walls block my line of sight.

We are no use to the man anymore, we are so deprived of snow.

But the torture will continue, like the man is putting on a cruel show.

I hear something. The door to the building opens, and another man walks in.

They are negotiating for something, and when it’s done our walls are broken by the men.

The new man holds some leads. Then it hits me, they were negotiating for us.

He puts us on the leads, but the other man is holding a sword, so none of us fuss.

He takes us outside, and starts leading us to a new place.

Then it hits me like a smack to the face.

I look to my left, I look to my right.

And there I see a desert. I cannot survive there, there is too much light.

But I am not looking to survive.

I want this all to be over, I want to meet my demise.

So I stand still, the man keeps walking. He gets too far ahead, and the lead breaks.

I run to the desert, my body so filled with fear it shakes.

I keep running. It is right in front of me.

There is nowhere to keep from the light, not a single tree.

I know that this is what is best.

I know this is the end of my quest.

I step foot into the sand. The light is too much to bear.

Everything starts to fade. I see the ones who died before me standing there.

I start to smile, they do too.

At that moment, I am positive this was the right thing to do.

I then rise up, and see my deceased friends standing beside me.

I am overcome with a feeling of glee.

I no longer have to suffer in that life.

Now, there is no more pain. No more strife.

Everything is okay.

For, tomorrow is the start of a new day.

Very interesting concept. This was a great plot in representing a snow golem's life!

Wow! A lot of thought put into this! I never really thought about if I'm abusing the snow golems while they are in my snow farms... that's deep. Anyway, how did you make the image? What program?

Thanks! I pretty much felt bad the entire time I wrote this though, as if I was creating a character just to make it have a bad life. Your comment means a lot!
