This is a guide on what trees are ideal to farming. I will help you decide by demonstrating the differences between them and pointing out the benefits.

The first tree I will discuss is the oak tree.

The oak tree is definitely the most common tree in the world of minecraft, you can find it almost anywhere you go, you will be guaranteed to see at least one oak tree somewhere in your world. The oak tree has two relative sizes, the regular and the giant size. The regular size shares many characteristics with the birch tree such as height and is able to be compacted next to other trees. The giant size has random blocks scattered throughout it and I can tell you from personal experience that they are VERY annoying to remove. The fact that the logs are hard to remove means that if you just leave them the tree won't give you any saplings because the leaves don't decay.

The second tree will be the spruce tree.

Spruce trees are found in the taiga or snowy biomes. Spruce trees are tall and sometimes have minimal leaves which prevents them from giving you any decent amount of drops. The fact that they are very tall mean that you will need someway through which you are able to elevate yourself to the highest log. This can be difficult, boring and worst of all, time consuming. The fact that these trees are so impractical means they are not suited to farming and should only be farmed if you desire the specific wood type.

The third tree is the birch tree.

The birch tree is, in my opinion, the easiest tree to farm. The tree has only one size, compact and simple. There is only one straight column of logs making it a breeze to harvest, I am yet to come across a naturally made birch tree where I need some sort of support to get to the top. This is what makes it so easy to collect the drops from the leaves allowing full replenishment (and a little extra) of your tree farm.

The fourth and final tree is the jungle tree.

The jungle tree is quite obviously found in the jungle biome and has two sizes, the regular and the SUPERMASSIVE GIANT! The regular size can sometimes become a bush tree, where the leaves reach down all the way to the ground creating a bush effect. The SMGs can make good tree houses but are highly impractical for a fast wood solution. The fact that the trees are so time consuming to harvest just make it so much less practical

Please tell me your thoughts below problems or praise and if you are generous click the diamond, I will be so happy. I will be happy to answer any queries you may have.

Just climb to the top of a jungle tree with the vines and mine downwards. More than 2 stack in one go! No time wasted walking between trees etc.

That's if you found it in the wild, if you are farming many of them, sometimes even in an interior space, it is just quicker and much easier to just have a simple birch or oak tree so as to maximise efficiency. Thank you for the comment.

Yeah Ill agree with you on that! If you place a sapling inside a little house, then the oak tree doesnt have enough space for a bigtree
