Do you trust me enough to deliver to you this blog about people? How are you not sure this blog may not just be a silly blog about the staff on your server?
The question of trust is a hard one to understand, because on the outside everyone appears different from eachother; that which they are, correct. Under the outside skin, is a different person however, a person who is different from the person you see and know on the outside. We all know by now that each and every player on Minecraft is a unique user puppeting an avatar on a computer or some device; it's just obvious we are aware of who players are in the game. Being able to take the trust with another player on a server is another step up, you get to know a bit about the real life they have outside of the game, what the player's name is or where he/she might live in the world.
At this stage in trust things are easy to forget, bonds at this stage can be created to re-enforce a more stronger trust to the point where you talk to this player everyday. This means you're like best friends, correct? Yes! At this stage you start to realise that you're now best friends with someone from elsewhere in the world we live in, connected by skype and minecraft. Everything seems to be just fine between you and this other player untill you find out something bad is happening to him/her and you want to help out, so you want to help? Of course, you're best friends after all.
More stronger bonds are created, this player looks up to you for your admiration not only for helping him/her but also because of you being that one in a few who is able to be friends with almost anyone, if it's on a Minecraft server or in school, wherever it may be you're always on top. Nothing seems to be an issue between you and your best friend and by what do you know, a year has passed. Many things come and go but your friend starts acting different, leaving calls and the server more regularly and you ask yourself. "why?" It would soon turn out that all this time, he/she has been leaving to talk crap about you, to mock and disgrace the friendship you two had. Your friend has changed. It would so happen that your friend this entire time only spoke to you because she felt bad and was using you all this time, but for what? You will never know.
During the past year the server you always went on shut down and you have nowhere else to go, you try new things and other ways to enjoy your friendship but ends with failure. And after a whole year your friendship is over.
What caused this? why did your friend keep these things from you?, you ask yourself. Creating a bond of trust online is a very risky and dangerious to anyone, there are those lucky enough to not experience this however there are those who are left broken because of this experience. Was it you that caused this or the true colours of your friend, hiding something from you? You may never know.
I was inspired to write this blog due to a recent event that left me emotionless; My best friend's true colours were horrable and left me and her very friends in anger and disgust. I was the most hurt out of all because of how long and how much i spoke to this friend of mine, keeping away all these negitive feelings and comments behind my back. I'm unsure of why i'm even writing this but if you the reader are in a good, trustworthy friendship with someone you met on a server know this. Be aware that your friend is different from you in that any moment for whatever reason he/she may want to avoid you and go behind your back to foul talk you. Be aware where you walk and how far you walk with your online best friend because it could end up meaning something much bigger. Know that if you walk too far with your online best friend it could end up with one of you falling away from eachother and causing a really bad conflict.
Tl;DR Be sure that your best friend online wont backstab you in the future.
