As a Minecraft player, I find myself a bit bored with plain vanilla Minecraft. This boredom strikes around the time between major updates. What do I do, as so many people come to Planetminecraft for? I download a mod! Of course it cant be just any old mod, it must work with my preferred Minecraft version, usually one behind the most recent update (because I'm weird like that, anyone else?). Some mods are totally comprehensive and totally change Minecraft into an EPIC RPG. Other mods just add something I dont see the point to like: more gems or a new kind of flower (maybe a use for rotton flesh). Those mods are fine for those who like small additions, maybe for a modpack they're compiling, but not for me. Personally, and I cant be alone on this opinion, I would love to see something more from modders out there! So, this begs the question, what do we need to see in mods?
You're in Minecraft and you have just started out, made a house and are feeling nice and safe while hunting cows leisurely. Suddenly it becomes winter and you begin to take slowness debuffs take periodical damage from frostbite! It has become winter and you require some armor! The good old seasons mod, which I think has been discontinued (correct me if I'm wrong), used to make this possible. We need to see seasons in Minecraft! We should get summer, when we need to drink more water from water bottles to stay alive, can get trippy effects from heatstroke or dehydration, and of course, need to take more care when going through deserts. We need winter, when we can freeze in the insanely cold temperatures of tiaga biomes. We need seasons!
So, modders, I hereby challenge you! Try to make a seasons mod (at least) or even, if you are the most awesome person alive, a full blown real life mod (or modpack)! Modders, do your best!
As this is my first blog, I need to thank all of you who are reading this, thanks for not overlooking this blog!
