HELLO :)
So I've been playing Club Penguin since 2007 and I've started playing MC since 4 yrs. ago. So I've thinking clearly that if Disney bought Minecraft for $29.95. This will happen:
SO THAT'S ALL I KNOW FOLKS :)
So I've been playing Club Penguin since 2007 and I've started playing MC since 4 yrs. ago. So I've thinking clearly that if Disney bought Minecraft for $29.95. This will happen:
- Minecraft will be advertised in Disney Channel
- Minecraft will now have a Club Penguin account
- Disney will have now a Minecraft account
- Disney will now create a Minecraft Show/movie in Disney Channel
- Disney will now create their own pixel games in mobile or PC
- Steve will be now a mascot in Hong Kong Disney Land
SO THAT'S ALL I KNOW FOLKS :)

minecraft is a wonderful game because once pay those bucks, its all yours. no more payments! (unless your on realms) its cool compared to CP (you can do nothing unless you pay cash every month) what if disney implemented that into minecraft? and there would songs, not normal minecraft songs, but sngs which are like 'ooooh i can see clearly now the creeper is gone' or something. plus there would be minigames not like mineplex or that cool stuff, but that stuff on CP.
Basically minecraft would be Club Penguin but reskinned in a blockier version.
Mojang has clearly stated upward of 100 times that they would never sell their brand "Minecraft" to any third party developer, they would rather die with their child than let some corporate company take it over. Minecraft wouldn't be advertised anywhere on Disney Channel, ABC, ABC Family, ESPN, or any of the other 45+ television channels that "The Walt Disney Company" owns. Minecraft is too open and diverse. The Disney employees would have no way to monitor chat and keep little children safe. It would suffer a similar fate that DisneyPark's "Virtual Magic Kingdom" suffered, meaning that there was no massive profit margin for people, so they would have to shut it down. That would also mean that the game would only be active for certain hours, blocking out entire countries from playing at reasonable hours.
I don't understand bullet three at all.
Disney wouldn't do anything involving Minecraft on Disney Channel or any of its other channels because Minecraft would be overlooked by Disney Interactive Gaming, the gaming division of "The Walt Disney Company". Walt Disney Studios tends to keep away from gaming because of conflict of interest.
Disney would most likely not create a similar game to compete against the pre-existing Minecraft that they'd currently own?
Steve would be the mascot of Minecraft, as he is right now. DisneyParks are all inline with one another. I don't see how Hong Kong would be any different from DLP, WDW, DLC or TDL.
Now, if Disney *did* take over Mojang AB/Minecraft, there would be more updates, better server up-time, and better/more diverse ways to play. Disney is a company, they know how to NOT kill brands. If Disney can make money off of it, they'll keep it alive and keep it good. Just my thoughts, been studying The Walt Disney Company for over six years, so take what I say with a grain of salt.
