Hey guys. Enraric here again. I think blogging is going to start becoming a consistent thing for me here at PMC, if you'll have it. Generally I'll try to make them look nicer than this, all sectioned off and with headings and stuff, but this blog is just my thoughts in the order they came, no sectioning or anything, so I figured I'd leave it the way it was.
I was planning on writing a blog titled "The Figurative 1% of PMC," but I read a blog about the community with this line:
It got me thinking about the PMC that I left a year and a half ago. When I was thinking about returning but wasn't quite sure if I was going to or not, I made the same observation. Because of this, I wrote a carefully drafted PM to MamiyaOtaru, a high level member here. I'm not going to give you his reply, but I'd like to put here the message I sent.
This basically sums up how I've been feeling. So many users I used to deeply admire are gone, their profiles inactive. The likes of Leostereo and Halucid are gone now. Heck, the title of retired moderator didn't even exists when I left.
I guess I'm just wishing for the good old days back. It's not like there aren't talented people anymore, but I feel like there aren't any titans anymore, pillars of the comunity that were, honestly, a big reason I stuck around so long. Leo epsecially held my respect, as I sent him PMs asking for advice on skins and followed all of his tutorials before eventually developing my own style, the style I use now.
I don't really know what the point of writing this blog was. I'm just feeling kind of sad that all these great people are gone. In the coments section of the blog I mentioned earler, one fellow made a coment about how there was an "old era" of PMC and that we are now in the "new era" and, honestly, I'm inclined to agree. There also was an era before the old era, the one where my adventure map was one of the only ones here, but really, that middle era, the one with the titans that I adored... that was the golden era, and I miss it.
Thanks for taking the time to read my blog. I would love it if you could throw a diamond my way, and I also have a forum page for skin requests or questions about basically anything.
Until next week.

Where did they go?
I was planning on writing a blog titled "The Figurative 1% of PMC," but I read a blog about the community with this line:
A lot of people also think that PlanetMinecraft is already dead, and has been for a while. Granted, the community is only growing; but gone were the days of Halucid and Danori and the rest of us are just trying to follow them like headless chickens.
It got me thinking about the PMC that I left a year and a half ago. When I was thinking about returning but wasn't quite sure if I was going to or not, I made the same observation. Hi MamiaOtaru,
You probably get a ton of messages every day, but if you could just take a minute or to to answer some of my questons, I would really appreciate it.
I've been gone from PMC for a year and a few months now, but I've recently started looking around again, as I've re-taken up skinning and was thinking about becoming an active member again. However, it seems to me that about 8 months ago there was a mass exodus from PMC, both by little people and some very big people. What was especially shocking was seeing people like DinowCookie and HeartShapedBox having cleared their profiles before they left, reducing them to level one again.
Why? What caused so many people to leave PMC? You're one of the highest levels, and if I remember correctly, were when I left as well, so presumably you know the general goings on and trends in the comunity. That's why I messaged you specifically.
If you could just shed some light on the ashes I see here, I would really appreciate it. It saddens me to see so many great people gone, and I'd like to know what drove them to do this.
Thanks for reading my message.

I like learning the history of a place and this sentimental piece did the trick
I have only been active for about 4 months (was registered earlier but never did nuthin). I have no knowledge of the people you speak of or what things were like in a previous era for that matter.
I looked up the names you mention here and others in the "community" blog. Never would have known about this folks had you not mentioned them.
While looking at amazing builds about a year ago I read about a person named "antiqua" I have no idea who this person is but they had a decent amout of talent. I've read elsewhere on the interwebs through links that there was some sort of big disagreement that ended in a fight. With that situation many members became inactive, feelings hurt, etc.
Once again, I have no idea who these people are or what transpired. When I learned about the ABS I saw how many members were inactive and wondered why.
In the end its none of my business, but blogs like this helps piece together the history of a place.
