And actually its because of like 1.8 adds A LOT of stufff to the game...so probably Notch is trying to see if anything is gonna have bugs.SO thats probably why Notch is letting people play minecraft 1.8 in the PAX thing in Europe.*So people can test it*Then Notch will release to EVERYONE!!!YAY!!!

Like in only 3 or 2 or 4 weeks!!HOW GOOD IS THAT???CANT WAIT!!! :) :) :) :P :P LoL XD

hey man u CAN CAN and i say CAN play the 1.8 prerelease. (it isnt legal but :S) you need to get a cracked version of minecraft so u wont have to log in. then get the 1.8 prerelease.jar and delete yer own minecraft.jar or backup it. then put the 1.8 in and play. and voila ^^ done u got the 1.8 prerelease. hope this helped everyone

um you dont need a crtacked minecraft i have a legal one and it works, and the prerelease is legal too, it was leaked by mojang. ;) Oh yeah, and 1.8 official is out now!!!!! :D :D

mmmm k i was just sayin dat cuz some ppl were having trouble playing the prerelease. 1.8 is now out indeed and it ROCKZzzz

well Notch lives in Europe *I think* so thats why hes not coming here O_o he doesnt want to fly all the way here.And he probably thought PAX would be a good place to test out minecraft 1.8 cuz alot of people will be there.
