I am going to write a more serious blog instead of a silly, ridiculous one like my PMC trolls. This one is about trolling and flaming!
Well, in my opinion trolling and flaming are two completely separate ways of cyberbullying. Yes! I said cyberbullying. Trolling is more of an action to annoy a user so they go 'insane' and that makes the troll get a bit of a reaction out of them. Like think about the weird kid at school who goes spastic every time he gets teased. The massive spaz he throws is what the bullys want to see. This is a pourpose of a troll, they want to see people get really mad! Trolling can also mean off-topic posting on the forums and chat. This is another way they annoy people.
Flaming is more of an insult then a pain in the butt. Flaming is basically when someone insults another user not to make them go spastic but so they feel bad about themselves and many other horrible things. Flame wars are when a massive argument goes on and the people involved start swearing, teasing and goodness knows what. When flame wars occur, the victims are usually feeling depressed afterwards. Just don't reply if you think a flame war might even be likely. Just report the post and moderators will take care of it.
When you find someone being trolled or flamed, tell a moderator about it and they will issue a consequence to the person who is doing it. Whenever you find a post in which is looking like a flame war is starting, press that report button.
People also don't like it when you publicly address when you do not like the submission. You might see something like "This is the worst **** I've ever seen on PMC, go die in a hole and bury yourself in Vrej's kisses coz I ain't being banned"
Would you like that being said to you? Well if you do not flame other people, they feel happy! If someone posts this on your submission, just simply delete the comment by hovering your mouse over the comment, and under "reply" it should say 'delete.' Done and dusted!
To sum it up, trolling and flaming are bad!
