Hi guys. I've just got word that 1.7 is going to be the World Generation Update! I might be a little late to get word of that, but better late than never, I guess!
Anyway, the major problems Mojang is going to address are:

-Too Large Oceans

If you've ever played survival, and are like me, you've probably discovered an ocean that lasts thousands, and sometimes even tens of thousands of blocks long. They're annoying, and usually death traps if you're on Hard mode. They're not only death traps, but they also can take hours to cross. I once went to travel across what seemed like a lake, so I didn't craft a boat. An hour and a half later, I just decided to drown.

-Too Uneven Biome Placement

Have you ever settled in a desert? Have you ever settled in a snow biome? Have you ever settled in a swampland? If so, you've probably run into this problem. There is no realistic-ness to them. Sometimes, a desert will be directly next to a snowy biome! It's just not real. It shouldn't happen in real life, so it shouldn't happen in Minecraft! Also, snow biomes could be right next to swamplands! It's just... Wrong!

-Not Enough Variation

We've all played Minecraft for a while. Whether it be a year, six months, two years, three years, or even four years! A lot of the community has joined the game recently. I'd assume most of the community hasn't been around for a biome update! No new biomes have been added in almost two years! Only a small percent of us have been around since pre-1.8! What I'm trying to say is, we all know what every biome looks like. There's almost nothing more to explore!

Those are all the "Major" problems Mojang is addressing. I don't mean they're crucial to game play, they're just the largest problems on topic to the update theme.

I think I've taken up enough space on the update log. The rest is here:https://mojang.com/2013/08/minecraft-world-generator-update/

Okay. I've got a lot of strong opinions on this. Lots are good, but the one bad is bad enough to make me seriously not want this update.

I feel this update is a great realistic update. It adds more realism to Minecraft. *Looks at creeper* *Looks at zombie* *Looks at skeleton* *Looks at Nether Portal*
Right, more realism to the game. There's nothing more annoying in a game than stupid physics. Taiga biomes go next to ice oceans, and plains. Not deserts!

This update is no Beta 1.7. Beta 1.7 was and still is the best thing to happen to Minecraft. Disagree with me and you will be frowned upon here. Just kidding. You've got your opinion, and I've got mine. Although my opinion is better than yours, you are still allowed to have it. (Just kidding. You're not allowed to have an opinion. ;) )

So my major "Like" to this update is how Mojang is adding more biomes! I've been waiting for more biomes to come out since I realized the frame-rate drop in jungles! It's just awful. And Jungles are EVERYWHERE!

Nobody's 100% sure what new biomes will be added, but there is a picture of the new world generation. It shows different colors... Such as orange. You might think those are deserts! Nope! There's a sand color as well. There's also a teal-ish color. I wonder what that could be...
List your opinions on what you think they could be!

Anyway, those are my reasons I like it.

There is only one reason why I don't like it.

I'm a huuuuuuge fan of Etho! He's been recording a LP for a few years now. He's been on the same world for years. He's done a ton of stuff in it. And it might corrupt his world, causing him to have to start over. I'm not sure if it's going to cause him to reset the world, but it might. And that will ruin a lot of peoples' day.

Thank you for reading.
Have a good day.
