This datapack will no longer be updated!
Description
This datapack adds small randomly generated flying balloons to your world. The balloons do not contain any loot and are only for decorational/world building purpose. The current version is v3 for 1.18.2 (versions 1.8 and 1.8.1 will not work).
Installation
Drop the .zip file into the datapacks folder inside your world save file. If the world is already running, quit it and rejoin. The command /reload does not work, given that the datapack modifieies an aspect of the world generation. The datapack will only work for newly generated parts of your world. That's it!
Will my world still work if I uninstall the datapack?
Yes it will. The warning you see when loading up a world is a standard message, which appears if a datapack changes the world generation (e.g.: adds new structures to the world). You can just remove the datapack at any time and the world will still load up fine and all the generated balloons will still be there.
How to find a balloon
You can find balloons by using the following command:
Can I increase the spawn rate?
Yes. Open the file data\ercerus\worldgen\structure_set\small_balloon.json and lower the spacing value. This is the average distance between two balloons in chunks. You can also lower the separation value to make them spawn closer together, as this is the minimum distance between two balloons also in chunks. Leave the salt value as it is, as it is just the seed for the structure generation algorithm.
Bug Report
If you find anything that looks like it's not working as it should, please leave a comment and I will look into it.

In general, I would be glad to add your balls to my new server, in particular, if you replaced the block under the resident with a random working tool, so that when he found a resident, he would already have some kind of profession and possibly randomly cool trades.
By the way, I also have some packages that I would also like to transfer to version 19, but unfortunately I don’t understand how this is done and which lines in the package need to be changed.
Now, for example, I am looking for interesting structures that would be generated underground to explore and dig, it would be interesting to stumble upon any ruins or underground villages or something like that to complement the deep dark biome (here, for example, there is a package of destroyed end portals , but unfortunately the author most likely abandoned his work and again I don’t know how to transfer this work to the new version 19 www.planetminecraft.com/data-pack/ruined-end-portals/ ) Very sad
Sorry, but I do not plan on updating the balloons datapack.
I made an experimental version of the fortresses datapack, which ports the old generation system to the new one, without the hassle of programming everything again from scratch. I have to check if it still works in 1.19, then I will send you a DM with a preview version.
My knowledge of jigsaw blocks was at pretty much zero when I started the balloons datapack. I used this video, this post and this online preview tool to learn the basics. Although, a bit of background knowledge in the creation of datapacks definitely helped.
