Description:
This datapack gives you the ability to Dash forward 8 blocks. A Dash is an ability that allows you to instantly teleport forward in the direction you're looking. Right click the Ender Pearl to Dash. Dashing into a mob or player will damage them. But if you Dash into a wall, you'll be the one taking damage. After you Dash 3 times, there will be a 5 second cooldown before you can Dash again. You can see the cooldown as the levels in your experience bar go down. This could be used for Mini-games, Parkour, or PvP. You can even customize the sound effects and particles of the Dash inside the datapack itself. The creativity is all on you!
Extra Info: (Important)
Dashing only works for players who have the Dash tag. This tag is automatically given to all players once a world with this datapack is opened. If you only want specific players to Dash, then you will need to remove the "tag @a add Dash" from the load.mcfunction file in the datapack and manually give the players the tag. This could be used if you only want players to Dash when they are in a certain mini-game, or something like that.
How to Apply the Datapack to a World:
First, search for the %appdata% folder on your computer, then open it up and find the .minecraft folder. Open .minecraft, and in there will be a folder called saves. In the saves folder will be the folders of all your Minecraft worlds. Finally, open the world folder you want to apply this datapack to and place it inside the datapacks folder. Open the world you applied the datapack to and you're good to go!
