Hi again! Sorry for the inactivity, because I have so many things to do... BUT, today I've got an EXCITING data pack that I've been working on: Death Swap X! This one is a collaboration with my friend, so check him out! (link will be there later)

Now, now, the "X" here isn't just some stuff I added to make this fancy or anything, it's actually Death Swap for X players, so more than 2, YAY! And it is still quite buggy right now, and I plan on fixing most (all if possible) of the bugs. But for now we have this.

SELF-PROMOTION: If you want to play with me and help me test all the bugs in this data pack, you should join my discord server! We usually play at 1 AM - 2 AM GMT, but sometimes there will be different things. It does help a lot because this is a multiplayer data pack, and I don't have friends. :(

What even is Death Swap?
Death Swap is a game made by SethBling WAY back in the days. It consists of 2 players very far away from each other swapping positions every 30 to 90 seconds. After each swap they get 5 seconds of invincibility in which they cannot die. The goal is to trap the other player and be the last man standing!

Cool, so how is this different from Death Swap?
Well, first of all, it's a data pack, meaning it doesn't require ANY command blocks taking up your world. But more importantly, it supports more than 2 players, has more features such as kits, random TNT spawning, configurable options, a grace period where there are no swaps, and MORE! (and even more in the future)

OK, that sounds nice and all, but I don't know anything about commands... how do I change the settings then?

There is no need for command knowledge for you to be able to customize your Death Swap X experience! The moment the data pack is installed (well you do need to do /reload or go to your world but close enough), you will get yourself a book. That's where you can change all the settings available! Just click on the text and it will change immediately (operators only)! It will exit you out of the book and it won't say anything, which unfortunately I don't know how to fix, but the setting is changed! One click does it all!

And should there be an option that confuse you, just hover over the option and it will explains what it does! Simple and convenient!

And if you haven't chosen an option, there will be default options chosen for you!

Well, can you tell me more about the features?

Sure! Other than more than 2-player support, we have made some features unique to our data pack only! They include:

- An option to enable/disable hunger.

- An option to enable/disable traveling to the nether.

- Fast time where time ticks twice as fast.

- A grace period as said before.
- An option to make TNT spawns randomly where you are at to avoid digging straight down. (and other things that may involve your location)

- Kits!

Clarification: In the book for random TNT spawning, there are two options: "[All]" and "[Each]". "[All]" is pretty simple, every second, there's a chance for TNT to spawn, and if the chance succeeds, it will spawn on EVERYONE (playing the game of course). "[Each]" is slightly more complicated, but everyone now has their own chance of TNT spawning on them. That means, if TNT spawns on you, that doesn't mean it also spawns on your friend Jacob, and if it spawns on your friend Jacob, it doesn't necessarily have to spawn on you. And the chance for the TNT to spawn is roughly 36% every minute.

Kits explanation: There are 8 kits, each with different items to give you an upper hand. You MUST enable kits to get kits. And players who have not chosen a kit will NOT have a kit at all. The 8 kits are:

- Excavator: 1 iron pickaxe, 1 stone axe and 1 stone shovel.

- Architect: 1 redstone block, 2 pistons, 2 chests, 2 tripwire hooks, 1 string, 1 TNT and 8 sand.

- Conservationist: 1 cave spider spawn egg and 1 creeper spawn egg.
- Blacksmith: 8 obsidian, 1 water bucket and 1 lava bucket.
- Lumberjack: 1 diamond axe, 8 oak logs, 8 spruce logs, 8 birch logs, 8 jungle logs, 8 acacia logs and 8 dark oak logs.
- Apothecary: 1 Instant Health potion and 1 golden apple.
- Pyromaniac: 1 flint and steel, 1 Fire Resistance (3:00) potion and 16 magma blocks.
- Enderperson: 1 ender pearl, 1 end crystal and 16 end stone.

I've tried to make all the kits balanced, but let me know if you have played and think a kit is better/worse than others.

I'm interested. How do I install it?

It is also very simple!

Step 1: Download the data pack.

Step 2: Import the data pack to your world's folder. There are 2 ways:
- Go to ".minecraft" by pressing Ctrl + R then typing "%appdata%". After you are in the ".minecraft" folder, go to "saves" and then your world's folder, "datapacks". Put the data pack in this folder. After that upload your world to your server and you should be golden!

- If you want to put the file directly in your server's folder, find where the "world" folder is on your server's website, go in there, then "datapacks". Put the data pack here too.

Step 3: Reload your world by doing /reload.
Step 4: Enjoy playing!

Note: The data pack is a .zip file, and please, do NOT unzip the file.

That's it really! Have a great time playing! Feedback would also be nice. And if you want to play with me, again, join my discord server! Alright bye!
