Diamonds no More!



Welcome to my datapack! Diamonds no More! changes everything diamond, to everything mithril!

Not only does the included resource pack change the textures,

but the datapack makes gameplay changes too!

  • Fortune enchantment no longer works on (mithril) ore. Balancing and difficulty changes.

  • You no longer mine diamonds, (mithril ingots.) Instead, you mine mithril ore(diamond ore.)

    • You must then smelt the mithril ore into ingots, just like you do with gold or iron.



    Changes have been made to the smelting recipes as well. Cooking times and experience have both increased


    Furnace cooking times have been increased from 200 to 1000. This is about 50 seconds instead of vanilla 10 seconds.

    Blast-furnace cooking times have been increased from 100 to 500. It takes about 25 seconds instead of vanilla 5 seconds

    To make up for these changes, furnace smelting XP has been changed from 1.0 to 5.0, and blast smelting from 1 to 2.5




    I hope you enjoy my mod. Its not for everyone, but I've never, ever, in 10 years of playing Minecraft, liked the fact that diamond gear is made of gems.
    This pack is not to be uploaded elsewhere but Planetminecraft and Minecraftforums.net
    Do not combine this in modpacks, no not reuse my modified textures in your resource packs.

    Is it okay if I make a mod so that you can have mithril alongside diamonds? It would only be available for 1.12.2 though.

    Edit: I just finished it.

    Yeah I used the textures. It's done already if you want me to send it to you for approval.

    No need. All I did was change the hue of the diamond gear, so its Mojang's textures.

    A little Help please



    Hi, loved the idea of the mod, but it's not working for me, opened the .zip, there were no installing instructions, tried loading in the datapack folder from the game, and manually in the world's datapack folder, none worked.



    Don't know if another mod might be interfering though.

    Inside the zip file, there's a folder inside the Datapacks folder. You dropped that into the save's datapacks and it's not working?

    I've tried dropping the zip, he unpacked "Datapacks" folder, and the "Diamonds No More 1.14" subfolder with the "Diamonds No More Resourcepack" folder directly into the worlds save datapack folder.



    None worked, there are still Diamonds and Diamond recipes.
