This data pack adds a simple and fun hot potato game to Minecraft.

Starting a Game

To start a game of hot potato first use an anvil to rename a standard potato to "Hot Potato" as pictured below.



Then punch a player with it. This will start a game that lasts 15 seconds, once the timer expires the player with the hot potato will be blown up (there is no actual damage to the environment). The person with the hot potato also gets speed IV while all other players get glowing.

• A game cannot be started if there is already a game running. It's treated as a server-wide event.
• If a player tries to get rid of the hot potato they will be regiven a hot potato. Using this system it's impossible to get rid of the hot potato and if a player did manage to get rid of the hot potato they would still be killed.
• If the player who has the hot potato disconnects midgame and the game ends while they are gone then they will still be blown up when they return since they weren't online when the game ended.
