After 6 months, I came up with something I could do in a reasonable amount of time :).
This datapack adds twelve new breads, all discoverable in-game. Recipes scattered around dungeons, buried treasures, igloos, and everywhere else will lead you to discover intriguing additions to Minecraft's roster of food.
Using the new Bread Oven, crafted by throwing 24 Cobblestone, 3 Wheat, and a Campfire on the ground, you can follow the instructions on the recipes to create these lovely loaves.
This datapack requires a resource pack, so make sure you download it!
