Step 1:
You craft the Lava Boat like a normal boat but the wood is replaced by crying obsidian.
(You can also get the Lava Boat by using this command: /give @s minecraft:knowledge_book)
Step 2: Make sure the lava is at the same height as the ground.
Step 3: Drop the item on the ground and walk a bit away from it.
Step 4: Get on the boat and go into the lava. Now you're ready to go.
Step 5:
To get your Lava Boat back position it on the ground,
hold a sick in your offhand and get on top of it.
Hints
- The data pack also works in version 1.14.x and 1.15.x but you can't craft the Lava Boat.
- There is sometimes a bug in multiplayer:
If you drop the item the Lava Boat does not spawn.
You can fix the bug if you delete your old Lava Boat and get a new one.
- Never ignore step 2 or you will die ingame.
