Just a simple datapack for whoever need to clean an ocean.
Place a wet sponge near water to clean everything in a 25-block radius.
Don't need to spam sponges nor to use furnaces afterward.
Installation Note:
Please be sure you put the folder "supersponge" inside the datapack folder of your save file.
Type /reload. You should now see that the pack is enabled thank to the '/datapack list' command.
After that WET sponges will be able to absorb nearby water when placed.

did you put the datapack in the datapack folder of your world save ?
does the command /datapack list shows you it is enabled after doing a /reload ?
did you placed a wet sponge in water (not a dry one) ?
If it doesn't appear on the '/datapack list' it should be because you didn't placed the supersponge folder (open the archive) inside the <save>/dapatacks.
(don't forget to /reload after placing it there)
