Compatible with 1.16.4 and above!
Check out my Github page for updates and issue tracking!
Overview
Neo-Beta Plus is a branch of my previous datapack Neo-Beta that attempts to bring beta 1.7.3 styled terrain and biomes in the modern versions with modern structures, blocks and mobs
Includes All classic beta biomes such as seasonal forests, shrublands and rain forests and updates them with modern blocks, mobs and structures.
The clean looking beta-beaches and sprawling mountain ranges from the older versions have also been recreated.
Includes brand new, and heavily updated biomes based on pre-releases and images of early beta 1.8
How to install
Currently the custom-world options do not allow for random seeds, the seed you spawn with in the default pack is seed 0 but if you'd like a custom seed, follow these steps
Pack is currently unfinished as are Minecraft's custom dimension settings soexpect things to change come later versions and snapshots. Feedback andsuggestions for new features are welcome as well as bug reports. Thanks and enjoy! :)

How to install
- Download the attached .zip file and extract it (IMPORTANT).
- In Minecraft, click 'create new world' and click on 'datapacks' in the world creation screen
- Drag the 'neo-beta-plus-pack' folder contained inside the folder you extracted into Minecraft.
- Click on the datapack icon to move it over to the 'selected' tab
- Click done then click create new world.
Currently the custom-world options do not allow for random seeds, the seed you spawn with in the default pack is seed 0 but if you'd like a custom seed, follow these steps
- In the neo-beta-plus-pack folder go to data/minecraft/dimension and open "overworld.json" in a text editor of your choice
- In the json file there should be two annotated tags called "seed". Change both to whatever seed you wish to generate (DO NOT CHANGE ANYTHING ELSE OR REMOVE THE TAGS).
- Save and exit and re-add the pack to a new Minecraft world. Your seed will have been applied.
Pack is currently unfinished as are Minecraft's custom dimension settings soexpect things to change come later versions and snapshots. Feedback andsuggestions for new features are welcome as well as bug reports. Thanks and enjoy! :)

Thanks for the awesome mod ! The terrain itself is close to perfection, but I feel like new biomes are almost gone or loose their uniqueness. Rainforest doesnt have huge and dense trees anymore, Swamp lost its dark desaturated colors for exemple
Is there a way to keep the terrain generation the same ( blocs placements), but retain all the components of the news biomes and not having biomes that are "too" much beta ?
Something close to how these presets worked back in the day : www.minecraftforum.net/forums/minecraft-java-edition/seeds/customised-worlds/197244-minecraft-beta-customized-terrain-generator-preset
although id like to ask if its possible to edit or remove Biomes such as the River, as it currently cuts through everything a bit too much for my taste :D
i was wondering if there is any way for us to remove or edit the existing biomes in your preset, as there are some biomes that id like to be removed, without bothering you to make different versions ^^
