Welcome

Welcome to Origin Superpowers, or OSP for short. OSP is a datapack that overhauls the origins mod in its entirety. Adding 60 superpowers you can get. When you join the game, you will get a random superpower from that 60. The 60 superpowers are split between 5 rarity of superpower, that effects the chances at getting a specific rarity.
- Common: Early game superpowers, somewhat useful, but not as good as the ones above, with upgraded versions in higher rarities, or they are somewhat limited in scope, and have some downsides. Still, they can effect end game stuff when used smartly. As any tool can be used well. There is 13 powers in this rarity.
- Uncommon: The next level up. Still mostly early game, however still useful. Some are improved common's, most are new, and specal. Some can even counter higher level abilities, and are very good, however, powers of that type are limited in scope, or have cavoites. There is 13 powers in this rarity.
- Rare: The next level up. This is where some good powers come into play. They can be powerful, and do some cool things. Some are less specific then lower teirs. Some are more powerful, yet more limited in scope. There is quite a virality. There is 13 powers in this rarity.
- Epic: This is where most players will end up after working hard. These powers are very good, and powerful. Some do have very limited scope, but are the best at there job in the game. Thou such powers are rare. Most powers here have multible uses, and can be complex. Most even have limits placed on them in terms of how many players can have them. Thou most do allow duplicates. There is 13 powers in this rarity.
- Eldritch: This rarity is the best of the best. The 1%. Powers beyond them all. Capable of effecting the entire server, and going to the top with ease. However, there can only be 4 players at one time in any minecraft world with a eldritch. Each eldritch is one of a kind as well. Meaning no duplicates. There will be 8 powers in this rarity, currently there is 6. The last 2 are up to vote on my discord. Where you can suggest ideas, and the 2 highest voted will be created by me.

Getting new superpowers!

When you join the game for the first time, you have a 80% chance for common, and a 20% chance for uncommon. All powers in each rarity have a equal chance of being gotten, unless some powers have reached there limit for how many players can have them. As you can tell, you can not get all the superpowers like this. So how do you get better powers?

Power Crystals

First is the power crystal. You can get a power crystal from many structures in the world. Found within chests, and suspicious sand/gravel. The datapack edits vanila loot tables, so is incompatible with any mod or datapack that also changes vanila loot tables.



When you use a Power Crystal, you have these chances at each rarity.
- Common 5%
- Uncommon 30%
- Rare 20%
- Epic 5%
- Eldritch 0%

Elder Power Crystals

You may have noticed the lack of eldritch in those chances. In order to get a eldtich power, you need to upgrade the crystal. This can be done by clicking on the power crystal with a upgrade item, within a invintory.(Same as putting a item inside a bundle) There are 2 upgrade items, hearts of the sea, and nether stars. This can be edited via tags. When you use a elder crystal, you have these chances at each rarity.
- Common 0%
- Uncommon 0%
- Rare 50%
- Epic 45%
- Eldritch 5%

Combating Eldritch Powers

There is a slight issue in this thou. What if all the eldritch powers are taken, and you want one? Well there is a solituion. You can disable powers. When a power of a player is disabled, the magic part of there power stops working, while the physical part continues to work. Shooting fire would be considered magic, while having wings from your back would be considered physical. When any power is disabled, and that player is killed by another, they have a 25% chance to lose there power. There are superpowers that can disable other superpowers.

However, there is also a item. The Anti-Power Crystal. This can be crafted by clicking on a echo shard with a elder power crystal. When this item is within your invintory, your own power will be disabled, along with players within a small radius. When you attack a player with a Anti-Power Crystal in hand, they will be disabled for a short time.

So if you ever need a elditch, and someone else has the elditch you want, or there is no slots. Then you can just kill them while they are disabled. This is also a way to fight back agenst the powerful elditch powers.

End & Credits

So, that is all the imformation i will tell you for free. As mystory is a part of the pack. What powers are there? Can anyone combat my power well? What is that players power? So i enchorage others to hide information. As that makes it more fun.

Anyway, this datapack also has a addon api, allowing you add new powers to the game via addon datapacks. I will be making tutorials soonish.

The pack has very good admin tools, and settings if you are running this on your server. To view them, be in creative mode, and run `/trigger op_menu`. Via this menu, you can edit the limits of each power and rarity, even disabling powers or rarities you dislike, and view who has what power. As well as tools to allow you to deal with things. You can even make addon datapacks that edit the item used to upgrade elder crystals, change the chances for each rarity for each method, joining, power crystal, elder crystal. As well as much more.

Installation

This datapack requires origins mod, and pekui. It has some support for Apugli as well, thou its not required. Use modrinth for more advanced versions of the pack. Like one with no superpowers, and just the foundation. Or a version that allows for origins, and superpowers at the same time, thou it would be glitchy.
